LMB: Throw lightning spear generated from hitech physical spear
RMB: Short forward dash and stab
E: Throw physical spear with curving trajectory (all directions) depending on how you look after pressing E (short delay after press)
Shift: Summon a line of tall ghostly spartans pushing enemies back as ghosts run forward in formation. If one gets destroyed the others close the hole and keep moving. No/little damage. Clips environment and can be blocked by Rein and Zarya shields. Good for pushing immobile heroes off the cart or into your defenses.
Ult: Throw shield forward and LMB when you want it to get infused with a lightning strike from above, spreading very bright lightning rapidly all around it. Not pressing LMB will captain america the shield to you with ~25% ult loss.Small damage and knockback if it hits an enemy"WITH IT OR ON IT"

I think its really hard to come up with new heroes that fit withing the current roster.
It seems like balance is way more delicate in this game than it is the MOBA genre, but you kinda want new heroes to break up the meta at the same time.

Only played 5 matches, went support in all of them Mercy for 3, Symettra for one and Lucio for the one KotH.
Won 4/5 and have been given the most likes in every game and even got a Legendary commendation for 11k heals as Mercy, 11/12 people liked me, and a PotM for a three man res in a different game.
There seemed to be a lot less running around like maniacs and people seem to stick to a role they're good at due to wanting to win.

ability 1 is frontal shield, 10 second cooldown, 2 second uptime, cant be broken but can bee hooked or flashed or tripmined out of it. only blocks front 140 degrees
ability 2 is zero shift, 10 second cooldown, same noise and chargeup stance as ZOE2, hitting an enemy directly with it will deal melee damage
ultimate is vector cannon. full chargetime as the games so its an absolute bitch to get out, can also die charging it. on the flipside. absolutely everything downrange in LOS dies.

I had an idea for a melee offense character.
He's an alien, he has bee-like wings and can fly around anywhere.
His movespeed is the same as Tracer.
His shift is a move where he places a gross alien hive, it has 50 health but around it he has increased movespeed and attack damage.
His M1 is a claw on his arm that attacks forward. It does 45 damage and attacks around 1.75 times per second. It has a small swing arc though, only 40°, that's +/-20° from the cross hair.
His M2 is a spin attack that attacks 360° around him, but only does 30 damage and can be done 1 times per second.
His E is a swarm of alien parasites, moves around the same speed as Rein's fire blast, it does 10 damage on hit, does a total of 60 damage over time and if an enemy is killed when infested they explode with a green ichor and instantly heal you and your allies in an AoE by 100 health.
His passive is when an enemy is hit by his melee attack they are marked and the swarm seeks them out, but it dies on shields or walls, it cannot be deflected but can be shot down by D.Va. You know when you've been marked, it lasts 10 seconds from a melee attack and only on one person.
His ult is he opens his chest and fires a huge stinger, it does 150 damage, moves at the same speed as a Mei icicle and has a short 0.6 second delay before firing, it had no damage falloff and doesn't drop to gravity. If it kills the target the stinger is left on the floor for 60 seconds. If you pick up the stinger it gives you 40% ult metre back.I did steal some of this from Ah Muzen Cab from smite, and he would look similar to the skin in pic

Zenyatta's burst potential makes him lethal, but his risk factor makes him a detriment as there are better heroes to suit his role.
Most offense have some form of high damage, mobility, sustainability. Zenyatta has high damage, but no mobility, and sustainability only through the use of his ultimate ability.
Lucio and Mercy have high hps, mobility, and sustainability. Zenyatta has none of these.
Zenyatta fails to fit in on offense and defense because every other character has an answer to him. He has no ability to punish Genji or Tracer at close range. He has no way to punish a good Widow even after her nerf. He cannot sustain himself nor quickly rejoin the team if he falls away to avoid getting picked off. Even having a team built to support a Zenyatta would likely fail as any window the enemy has to pick him off, they will. It happens in quick-play, and it happens in comp play.
In a perfect world, Zenyatta would be calling targets to burn down. If he had a boost to his mobility (wall climb for example), getting to vantage points, Discording a tank, and calling targets would make him an asset. It would keep him as a high risk/high reward character, but add depth to his gameplay and give him purpose.
My suggestion to fix Zenyatta would be:
Give him a wall climb.
