Forcing your voice to do some silly unnatural shit isn't always the way to voice a character.
In fact, it almost never is. You have to study on how to use your natural voice perfectly and how to have some other voice techniques to do other stuff, but mainly having your normal speaking voice pitched up or down is the way to dub most of the things.
Also, I spent more than 4 years of my life working on that character, imagine doing that with a speaking manner that causes fatigue. I'd be fucking dead.

My agent hooked me up for an audition for a company, I said yes, they liked that and they put me in their games. It's literally just luck and experience. Start by doing audition and growing some balls, go to local actors in theater and tv and ask for a part, even a small one. Not doing anything is the easiest way to fail. It's a job after all, so you have to keep getting contracts or else you won't have anything to eat.
