Thank you brilliant anon without your dates I wouldn't have realised that the two games are separated by over a decade. But an arbitrary amount of that doesn't make Geralt a rip off of your beloved anime badboy faggot, aside from the silver hair (something Sephiroth didn't pioneer) the two characters don't have any similarities.
Their costume designs and weapon designs are different and Geralt has a character with a developed personality unlike Sephiroth so yeah they Geralt isn't a rip off visually or in any other form.
