I actually think it had a really good story and the main character is very likable and relatable.
Combat is pretty standard TPS with a largely pointless cover system.
Sure people who played LP2 and expected Japanese arcade hysteria would have felt burned, but if you go into it expecting a slower paced story driven campaign it's comfy as fuck.

You can say that exact same thing for many puzzle platformers and everyone will eat that up. Its the same thing about walking simulators: it's not to everyone's taste, but some people like it. I have my gripes about these genres and if you simplify it to something like this, then yes it could be a waste of money. But the same thing could be said about a lot of games, like Elder Scrolls. Wasting my time on a universe that has too much lore for me to care about, too much monotonous side quests, and simple-minded story might be a huge turn-off for me and some others. Not saying I hate Elder Scrolls, just saying that not everyone is catered to your tastes and sometimes it's okay to try something different that goes with a different approach to the medium rather than "spam X to win"

I also have a bunch of pictures I took for the sake of the owners of the pawns I hired, some of which are decent.
Plus a couple port-crystal locations like this.
And a fair number of pictures dedicated to the pawns getting a BBC before going home.
Rather proud of those.

The game is mildly funny in my opinion but the short length makes me glad that I did not spend more than a dollar on it. I finished it in 3 Hours with 100% completion.

You customize both, and the pawn can be sent into the 'rift' a network where they're hired by other players for a time & sent back with gifts, a rating, & canned messages.
