I hate how they ruined Yoshi. He used to be a majestic and sensible dinosaur. Then Nintendo gradually changed him into a brooning hop 4yo retard with an inscrutable anatomy and reproductive system

Imo 3d mario is where the original mario style died. Every mario up to that point aside from the portables had just been upping the ante visually further and further. But then 64 came along and had to make everything geometric shapes and simple flat colors and the look of the games never really recovered. We basically went from the fully hand drawn gorgeousness of Yoshi's Island to current day shitty NSMB look.
