Marketing a game (poorly, at that) as a direct competitor to Overwatch.
Not that I think Overwatch is a good game, but neither was Battleborn.

The reasons why Overwatch is bad:
-20 ticks
-huge "hit boxes"
-no PvE
-too few PvP maps
-most heroes are useless
(if you have Bastion, Hanzo, Junkrat, Mei, Widowmaker, D.Va or Zenyatta in your team, gg)

Also, Battleborn ended up being somewhat low budge game, making all the 'profit' generated out of this game went to Borderlands 3.
Basically BAttleborn was something 2Gears did just to fuck up a bit after releasing Memelands3
