i've heard it was incredibly buggy on console and initial PC release
aside from that pistols + stealth is overpowered and movement in general is a bit wonky
it's a shame, i miss RPGs that just let you [A] Execute characters as soon as you meet them if you don't like them
I like alpha protocol better
I remember pirating Alpha Protocol and for some reason opening the market or whatever at the ingame pc took absolute fucking ages.
I don't know if the game was trying to call home every time you tried to buy something ingame but it was absolutely ridiculous.

I've never heard anyone say this about AP.
I dropped HR, so AP is an easy choice. I absolutely despise the way experience is handled in the former, encouraging grinding every hackable thing, massively rewarding easier humanism path without requiring any commitment, ghost bonus existing and applying to complete genocide, as long as it's quiet.

Deus ex is better all around but the sneaking portions remind me of alpha protocol. Set patrol paths with no variation, and they always have a blind spot, even late in the game. No one notices their buddies disappearing. Kinda weak to be honest.

A combination of Sega shipping out the wrong build and game journalist going into it thinking it would be Spy Effect 2 and then only focusing on its minor flaws instead of its overbearing merits after only playing 40 minutes of it.
It's a better game than Deus Ex: HR.

HR is a good one all around. Alpha Protocol has a REALLY rough beginning, but if you can stick with it (and save in different spots) it will get much better. It just sucks that Obsidian never got to do a patch for it.
