I got tabletop simulator and 2 of my american friends got it. Whenever we don't know what to game at we just load up a puzzle or a UNO game. I don't regret it so far. I even ended up hosting 8-persons games of BANG!. Had to explain the rules many times for new players but since it's easy to get into, everyone always ended up having fun. Pretty comfy.

Yeah, I got the season pass really cheap on Gamergate early on. Was like $15 or something. I haven't had a chance to play most of it. Only the robot one, and it was pretty good. Most of the DLC revolves around settlement stuff, so if you're not into that I wouldn't bother.

Got DaS2:SotFS. Yeah I know it's shitty but y'know what? It has more replay value than DaS3. I realized that even though the level design is better in DaS3, the progression of levels is the most linear it has ever been in a Souls game. Even in DaS2 you can basically go down five different paths at the start of the game after beating one boss potentially.
I've got $8 or so left and I'm wondering what to spend it on. If I sell some cards I can get something like Zombie Army Trilogy, or I could instead buy a bunch of $2 indie games that are fun.

The sailing stuff from AC3 has been expanded to the point where the game is built around it and it's so good because of it. Pillaging, your crew singing as you sail, going island to island exploring, and Black Beard is a true bro. It's also split up with you playing as some random in modern times FPS style, walking around, hacking shit, and getting told by IT that you're their bitch. Personally speaking, I didn't like AC3 much but AC4 really is as good as everyone said it was but I warn you, it's not optimised well so you need a pretty good PC to run it well (I have a 980 and it's pretty smooth with most things on max)

Apparently the first part drew him in? A quick google shows the game has seven chapters, so if he only really liked 1/7, I'd say that's probably a good reason for why he didn't like the rest of the game. Basically, was interested in the concept, but the game didn't live up to the execution.

I'm going off of memory and wikia bits because I generally can't remember much of anything even though I played this apparently a year ago? But basically, the game drew me in with the unique styling of it combined with the intro (prologue?) section where it starts off with your character killing themselves and ending up in this strange wasteland. The styling of the wasteland (I know I'm not wording this right which is why I hate sharing what i like about things because i can tell you 20 things i fucking hate about something even if nitpicking, but i can't tell you one thing i like even if i like it) was really neat and it brought a bit of mystery as to who this creepy ass old lady was, where you character ended up, and why they were killing themselves.
Hospital part was cool because I liked learning a bit about the character more, as well as some of the hints that something more was going on ala the big beating heart in the center of the office (probably wrong), and potentially the idea that all that crazy shit you just saw may have just been hallucinated or something. That's not the case in the end of it, but the way that chapter built shit up for me and brought on the promise of hunting down more killers is what drew me in.
and then you get home.
and see how the character is at home.
That just brought the whole fucking story to a screeching goddamn halt, and I really couldn't give any less of a shit about Susan from that point on. [continued in part 2]

So, the blowing up of the cheeseburger was so hilarious to me, that I couldn't take anything serious from that point on in the game, and I had a hard time taking anything seriously with Mitzi, as well. I know there was some drama with a dead baby and an abbusive husband I think? But by that point, it felt so tonally off like all of her bullshit actions were suppose to be justified by this horrific event, and the killers were just an afterthought to this thing. Like you have this greater purpose, but the whole game is just about finding herself or something. The last chapter's whole fucking point being to "not feed the trolls", a continuation of an already laughable discussion between her and Mitzi earlier, actually made me laugh out loud IRL harder than I've laughed in a while, and I couldn't believe I actually went through the entirety of the game while not really enjoying anything aside from liking it ironically for humor purposes. There weren't really any clever puzzles that made use of her abilities and the story sections just didn't click.
THere's probably more, but those are the parts that stood out to the most as to why I didn't like it. I didn't realize this thing was so well liked until I looked at the steam reviews page just now.

Yeah those reviews are still totally muddy alright. Weird though it looks like the reddit army disappeared after WB released all those patches that were definitely unnecessary because their game is perfect and immaculate in every way.

The reviews are still full of vile from people who got fucked in the ass, and refuse to play the same game they already bought. Same with Unity, I was expecting to see positive reviews now. Maybe I got a positive view on them because I simple held until they were patched, got them 75% cheap, and had fun. Outside multiplayer games, there is no incentive to buy games directly on release, especially since everyone with a Steam account got like a mile wide backlog.

It definitely has that flash game feel. And it's pretty grindy, in that you'll end up redoing lots of stages to get achievements. There's like 500 achievements, each of which gives you skill points.
All the tower types are represented by 9 gems: leech money on attack, hit multiple enemies per attack, critical strike, poison, reduce armor, slow, lower regeneration, and two other gems which power up combined gems over time. You can level up pure gems, or you can combine, but combining makes both effects weaker. By the end I just spammed Critical strike + chain strike + one of the upgrade gems. Some stages force you to use some other stuff (mostly poison).
You have a variety of tools to use other than the 9 gems, like damage spells, power up spells, walk-over traps instead of towers, gem bombs, mazing and some stage specific hazards, which makes things more varied and interesting. But in the end I just spammed 3-4 towers with surrounding amplifiers because that deals the most damage and covers the most ground. You also want to deal as much damage as possible because surviving as long as you can means you level up faster.
And there's a few interesting enemies which fly all over the map and fuck your shit if you don't deal with them, but those come in fairly late in the game.
There's challenge stages which strips you of all your skill points and you have to beat the stage with what you're given. I couldn't beat most of them, especially the later ones - gave up after 3 or 4 tries.
There's some story presented in text paragraphs after beating some stages, but I didn't care to read.
All in all it's good if you want to waste time.

Burnout Paradise is open world, so it isn't as immediately good like the course design in 3 was. It takes some getting used to, but once you're familiar with the city and know the general layout and where most shortcuts are you'll have a better time with it.
Also, don't know if this was ever changed, but the takedown camera that would rest control away from you whenever you would take out another car, was impossible to turn off in single player. That shit is annoying as fuck.

Blitzkrieg 1 is great, though random missions can be unfair as fuckdue to random seeding. Antology comes with expansions, one for Rommel, one for Patton, and one where you use Tigers almost exclusively, usually outnumbered as fuck.
It also spawned selection of games using engine and assets from it, like World War 1 or Cuban Missile Crisis
