Saying this as someone who played Dark Souls first, so don't call me a nostalgia fag: I think Demon's had a better soundtrack than all the other games. The limited instruments make it much easier to hear even during an intense bossfight, and in general give it a more unique sound.
Also: pretty much all the Tekken games have god tier soundtrack (7 has been kinda disappointing so far though)

You can play it perfectly well with a controller. It plays just like Rez but rewards you for following the rhythm and has certain enemies that can only be purified with certain weapons (R1 automatic vs. A-lock-on).

No, it does not require a Kinect to play. You can play it with a controller. I do not own a Kinect and have never played it without just using the regular 360 controller. It's also on PS3, which I didn't even know for the longest time.
