>made poorfag pirates mad because they couldnt play the hottest new flavor of the month game day 1
>made buyfags mad because all of those rumors about it fucking SSDs and killing perfomance of the games
>Now where its cracked it makes less rich devs mad because the money they paid for it was for nothing after all
Is Denuvo one of the biggest cause of asspain in vidya history? Everyone seems to hate it for their own reasons.
>Getting mad over software
Has no discernible impact on sales, likely not worth it for anyone that's not a huge publisher given the apparent costs behind lisencing it. Pirates just won't play the games, all it does is inconvenience paying customers and eat up a chunk of the games budget.

No one cracked anything officially yet.
The guy who claims he cracked ROTTR refuses to release the crack calming he only made it to piss of Denuvo and who them its actually easy to crack.
1. This is actually true
2. Its just a retard lying online for attention.
So its still the best DRM at the moment.

It's not even really DRM, it's anti-tamper software that keeps you from getting tonight d circumventing the DRM.
For buyfags the problem with Denuvo is how once the developer or publisher tanks you'll be unable to access the games you bought because "Denuvo unable to reach authentication server".
For piratefags it's fucking annoying because sometimes (or the majority of time) you just don't want to pay for the games.
For both Denuvo is bad because it prevents games from being preserved. Sometimes politics and copyright faggotry happens and blam! a game is gone from the face of earth (see: Wolfenstein 2009); pirate copies become the only way for the game to survive.
The only good thing about Denuvo is how publishers and developers finally have real PC sales data.
Wasn't there progress recently? I think with DOOM?

Do we even know how expensive Denuvo really is? If the thing is that expensive, then why small developers like the guys behind that Sherlock Holmes game or Lords of the Fallen adopted it?
Still no crack btw. Mkdev literally only managed to create an offline activation. Still needs real key that can be only shared 5 times a day.

You already pay just to license the game, not own it. One could argue for the need of at least a digital back up system and the shunning of always online practises, but not everyone thinks like that.

While that's some progress, it's still far from making the game playable.
You guys need to hold on your goldfaces for now.
