People think recon are shit because they stand miles behind sniping and not helping with capping objectives/planting bombs or whatever. Team with the most recons usually lose since you wont have enough doing the objectives.
You can be a good recon though, I like using DMR type weapons and motion sensors, c4 etc.

Yeah it doesn't matter now, when you just load up the map and get to play your shootymans. I miss when Battlefield had a sort of narrative going and each map actually had some sort of meaning. It wasn't RP levels of immersion but it still gave you something for the faction you got placed on.

Is it just going to be gay? I was playing BF4 again recently and helicopters really do add to the gameplay of BF. My first one was the very first, 1942. No helicopters, but we had some pretty deep naval gameplay to make up for it. I seriously doubt the zeppelin is going to make up for it unless we also get battleships and shit.
