That's the problem with WoW's writing team, they're split up too much. Just like in cata when they tried to make garrosh grow into a leader worthy of the horde but the other half just wrote him into orc hitler at the same time.

Therazane is just the strongest earth elemental on Azeroth, which are natural world spirits.

The writers are complete shit at big story arcs, the only time they were sort of decent was original WoW with the Prestor stuff or for Old Gods in Classic/Wrath/MoP. Cata was way too forced on Old Gods and just made it feel tired, and the lack of one appearing didn't help it at all.

I have very little doubt that the class quests will be the best part of this expac. I spent all my time on the beta rolling new characters and seeing the intros for every class and I'm loving it, mostly. Some feel pretty half assed, at least initially, but goddamn, still cool.
Also love how they are bringing in some "Forgotten" lore elements. This expac feels kind of like Cata in that regard. Taking these lore things that have been basically ignored for years and doing something with them. Getting the Blade of the Black Empire as a shadow priest and FINALLY seeing what the shit under Tirisfal is was cool as shit, even if it wasn't anything TOO exciting.
Though its kind of detrimental to people that don't like alts. You really have to play EVERY class and do all their shit to get a proper picture of the "current" lore. Like you won't know what the fuck is up with Thrall if you don't play a shaman and get the doomhammer.

One of the biggest issues I'm seeing with legion is a couple classes seem "balanced" around having their artifact. Like balance druid seems like it would be just awful to level because it really feels like integral parts of your kit are missing until then. The moon spell is actually a big part of your rotation, unlike a lot of artifact skills which are just "do damage every 45-90 seconds".

The only issue I have with the concept is that it implies naaru are the equivalent to Old gods, despite not really being "equal.
I originally perceived the concept of naaru going dark as there being an equal number of naaru and void gods in the universe, and that their number represented the strength of light. I thought the plot was going to be that the naaru hate the legion because their destructive motives are causing the void to grow more and more powerful.
With this new lore, the "equilibrum" concept is out. Now the naaru turn into void gods simply because of their physiology and their creator is implied to be the light equivalent to the Void lords, that can not enter reality.
Strange enough, the new magical sphere diagram shows a void god where the word Void Lord is written, implying that void lords are indeed some kind of void walker.
But since they can't enter reality, this needs to be explained by blizzard because void walkers, especially powerful ones like Dimensious go around and eat worlds. Thus far, there have been no indicated relationship between void creatures and old gods.
