What is this? is it multiplayer only like Rust? any issues? looks fun though even though op's screenshot is the only thing ive ever seen about this game

they "plan" for an august release, but you know how it is with Early Access.
Devs update frequently -- pretty much big updates monthly, while the experimental branch gets daily, small updates

early access underwater exploration game set on an alien planet. Very fun. Sadly no multiplayer yet.
>>343270017
no multiplayer as of yet, but devs are definitely interested in doing co-op, if they get to it.
It's a very comfy deep sea exploration game.

Dig up some lead from sandstone and make a radiation suit. Then prioritize getting all of the tools, building a small base then getting a Seamoth.
>>343272265
After about 4 or 6 hours it gets easier to explore. That's how long it usually takes to set your self up and build a ship( seamoth). I suppose though, the deeper you go the harder it is.

Craft a survival knife, flashlight, and scanner. Horde copper, quartz and titanium (Build chests if you have to). Look for lead (Found inside of sandstone) so that you can make a radiation suit. To get water find Salt (Looks like a bunch of white blocks on the ground) and coral (Take your survival knife and slice the coral found on the giant tube shapes). Then craft bleach and turn it into water. Use salt to preserve food and don't feel afraid to use the nutrient blocks and water already found in your pod. Make sure to scan the safe-shaped blocks for new crafting info. Don't go near the ship wreck.

yeah but my main reason for thinking that is that there is a single reaper guarding the floater island and the logs say that at the end of the previous survivors there was a single survivor left on the island because the others were trapped under the ocean somewhere.
plus different people could turn into different things depending on circumstances and other shit.
>>343274509
Most likely the Precursors, which are most likely the ones that shot down the Degassi.
Alternatively, the other planet has aliums that shot down the Aurora and Degassi.

game looks comfy
Does it offer challenge or is it a dumb grind for food?
>>343275118
>The PC should be a fish by now
its not a fast working mutation even the previous survivors didn't know how long before it would actually start affecting them
>>343275689
it can be a panic inducing grind for food, and that last moonpool module
>>343275689
Progression is challenging (Reaper Leviathans and the Aurora) and food isn't a problem once you have a small farm or a stillsuit.
>>343275689
Food's pretty easy to come by, same with water, but it does mean you need to plan and stock stuff. Once you get an alien containment full of peepers/airbags or a lantern tree you're basically set.
Loot the Aurora or go to the floater island first?
I have a Seamoth but no Cyclops.
>>343275689
If you're exploring then it's not comfy but it's exhilarating, but when you're building it's comfy as fuck, and the more you've explored the comfier your base will be
Let me summarize the story for you.
You crash land on the planet 4546B, the second of a system of binary stars. For about 30 years, the planet has had a string of ships go missing near it. The Degassi is the 2nd to last to go missing, and the Aurora is the latest. The Degassi crashlanded 7 years prior to the start of the story.
Characters:
>You
>Paal Torgal (in his 70's, father of Baat)
>Baat Torgal (19 - 26, receiver of neuro-implants that gave him knowledge on bio-engineering)
>Marguerit Maida (in her 40's, hardened mercenary fired several times for going off the deep end)
>CTO Yu (nothing is known about him, other that him and someone else got into a pod together, and they escaped out into the wild, after having their pod roll into a deep cave.
>Keen (Officer of the Aurora, managed to find land with a bunch of crewmates)
>Captain (died onboard the Aurora)
>qt lady girl
Over the span of 30 years, many ships have tried getting to this planet. The only 2 named ships we've seen are the Degassi, which is, presumably, piloted by Paal Torgal. Paal is in his 60's, and got life-extender implants, which he believes would get him to about 250 years old before he dies. Marguerit is their hired hand for defense, since they knew the planet was dangerous before going there. Baat is the son of Paal, who paid lodsa emone for Baat to have information implanted into his brain, allowing them to bio-engineer Lantern Fruit, Marble Melon, and Chinese Potatoes, found on the Floater Island, in only a span of a couple of weeks. The Torgals are the head family of the Torgaljin corporation, inherited by Paal. They crashland near the Floater Island, and Paal wants to play it safe and just wait their for rescue. After a month or so, Marguerit becomes increasingly agitated and hostile. Around this time, Baat discovers that there are bacteria all over this planet that will mutate your DNA. Luckily, everyone is bio-engineered, so they resist this - mostly - and everything else is immune.

>>343276017
For the moment yeah, there is going to be a story to follow and give you goals to reach and a ending point. But for the moment that's not done yet so it's more or less survival/comfy sea base simulator.
>>343276090
That's a different mushroom forest, this one's right under the Aurora
>>343276212Once you fix the reactor, it takes three ingame days for the radiation to fade away, at which point the radsuit becomes obsolete, and you might as well wear the stillsuit+rebreather.

cause it just makes sense to do it because of the way hatches are designed
>>343276368
You do, and you can. Lethal solutions are harder to pull off than running/stunning, though. Seamoth + PDS is pretty safe, though.
>>343275985
Part 2
Marguerit is concerned that help will never arrive, and constantly harps on about going into the water to get supplies. There is no titanium on Floater Island, but the water is loaded with resources. In fact, the Degassi and Aurora are both mining vessels, though the Aurora also came with the intention of picking up the other survivors. Specifically, the Degassi came for Lithium, which this planet his in abundance, more than most solar systems.
Marguerit goes and wrestles a Stalker to the ground with a thermo-blade, and takes its teeth for enameled glass. Her plan is to either build an underwater base, or build a Cyclops. She captures some and gives it to Baat as a present, and now Baat is on her side. Paal no longer puts up a resistance, and agrees to build an underwater base, but he wants Marguerit to stay away from Baat. I assume, at least, she was also offering sexual favors.
Baat has a huge breeding aquarium, and bio-engineers some fish of his own. I'm assuming it's the Rabbit Rays that came out of this, since they're the only creatures to not have a natural predator or eat any fish. Not to mention their DNA trait is "friendliness".
Eventually, they finish their base in a mushroom cave biome. It gets broken into, Baat escapes to the Floater Island, and Paal and Maida are MIA. Baat writes, one final time, that "they" got Paal and Maida. He's deranged at this time, and MIA himself 7 years later when you arrive.
7 years later, the Aurora also gets shot down and lands on Earth. CTO Yu and someone else manage to escape from a 300m deep cave, buy their whereabouts are unknown. Officer Keen located land, and was instructed to gather as many crew members as possible and go to it.
You are the only person left.
>>343276381
My first (and only) HC run ended with me going behind the Aurora and getting stuck on an invisible wall until I ran out of oxygen, good luck

>>343276404

It was on the front page of a steam sale, to answer your retarded question.
>>343276521
Steam sale. Best deal so far and the concept and execution are so well done that it drew a lot of attention. The sale is what convined people.
>>343276521
It's on sale and word of mouth is how /v/ spreads word about many games. No shilling, the devs are too busy actually doing work on the game.

>>343276432
It makes sense, but fuck if it isn't annoying. I just grab a fuckton of Lithium before I get my Sea Moth and plaster one long hallway with reinforcements. +7/wall is great.
>>343276425
You could've irradiated the place. It could also be one of the shroom cave entrances near a reaper nest. They don't go into caves, rest assured.
Worms will fuck you up, though. Pic related is what happens when you try and give it a pat on the back.
>>343276735
>One of the shroom caves near a reaper nest
I didn't even know there was multiple shroom caves
>>343276675
I was mostly talking about how the hatches look as though they should be flooding your base every time you go in/out of them
>>343276470
>Baat has a huge breeding aquarium, and bio-engineers some fish of his own
What's your source on this?
The thing that scares me the most in this game is not even the reaper, but the end of the world. When you reach it, the land just goes down and it's just sea emptiness down there, I can't bring myself to go close to where I know the world ends, I need to stay a respectable distance from it or I start to lose my shit.
>>343276368
>deep sea monsters
Only Sea Treaders, the Reaper, Sea Dragon, and Emperor Leviathans, Crab Squids, Spike Trap Plants, Ampeels, and pic related, which is big enough to swallow the biggest creature in the game whole.
>stuck on ocean planet
>can make current generators
>can't make a hydroelectric power generator
The game is great, but I can't build anything. The habitat builder causes the game to crash.
Any idea how to fix that?
>>343276935
When you first use it the game freezes for a while (I've had it last a minute before) but after that it's alright
>>343276865
>All the same, the life down here is INCREDIBLE. Marguerit has been bringing back the wildest specimens you could imagine. OK, the plantlife is inedible. I learnt that the hard way. But the fish... down here they GLOW. There's one that's 90% eyeball. Snakes the length of two glass corridor sections.
>It's not easy without a proper lab and equipment, but sometimes the old fashioned way - observing, taking notes, testing theories - reveals things a spectroscopic analysis never would.

Practice stabbing stalkers to death then go to the Aurora and stab the white stalker
I think i'll check this again in like 3 years. I mean, this game just screams for a 2-6 player coop. I mean, i pilot the ship, someone else uses sonar/cameras.
We take our equipment and carry it to ground to do a cave-diving operation
>>343277040
Seaglide then Seamoth
>>343277073
They have a fabricator and habitat builder just like you do. They even use enameled glass to make the observatory, and can make the Cyclops. It's safe to assume that they don't just eat the fish they find down there, and there is a model for a broken aquarium that is going into the abandoned sea base in the mushroom biome where they lived.
>>343277186
They're in the Jellyshroom caves, no edible plants down there.
>>343277103
I know. Oddly enough I've had a reaper try to push me down there once. I was on the cyclops and a reaper just started to push his body against the cyclops, pushing me down there. He gave up before long though.
Also, I know the game has no sea currents, but whenever I go there I can't help but fear being pushed down by strong currents with no way to return.
>>343277103
That's where the Sea Emperor Leviathan is going to spawn, and the Crab Squid (after it gets resized) is going down there, too. Sea Dragon is ??? as far as I know.
>>343277040
Get a scanner, and start scanning those safe looking things. First priority is a Seaglider, so you can go sanic, second is a solar panel, so you can make comfy underwater bases with a habitat module builder thing and not worry about drowning.
>>343277186
He bio-engineered the plants.
Baat:
>Those mountains look like they get the most of the sun. If we built observatories up there I think I could grow enough food to keep us all alive. I think this could work.
Paal:
>You hear that? You think you know better than 10 million credits of biochem training?
Many days later.
Baat:
> I think I could make a good seaweed salad.
>>343277301
Seaglider is unnecessary. I haven't made one yet in my most recent game, and I have nearly 100%'d it. I just need the Aurora model, the Wall Shelves, one PDA log from CTO Yu, and the beds.
I also only have 6 rooms in my base, 2 of which have aquariums in them.
>>343277272
To be fair I think thats a natural fear when it comes to open waters. Not only are they deep and without end. They're powerful enough to make you helpless.
Fuck if they did add currents I don't think i could handle playing this game anymore.
Also i think thats just part of the attack behavior for the Reapers. like if they catch your Moth they start heading deep. Making you take damage from the crush depth as well as their claws.
>>343277396
wait, so did he try to bioengineer some edible plants but failed or were they edible but they tasted like shit, also is paal talking to marguerit?
>>343277586
No, he did it. Crazy future tech made him into a bio-chem genius, and he modified the plants to be edible on the planet. Not all of them, mind you. We know that he modified the Lantern Fruit, Marble Melon, and Chinese Potatoes to be edible, though, and most likely the creepvine.
Stilll waiting for the exosuit or the removed terraforming update to play again.
>>343277850

>>343277928

>>343277928
That kinda sucks. What about the alien containment?
>>343277928
You know what, I'm ok with this.
Might sound weird but honestly multi-rooms are kind of OP
>>343278163
I think so as well. More recipes is always a good thing, since they could be used to entice players to go to different biomes they normally wouldn't. As long as it isn't found in some ridiculously far off place, I'm fine, since otherwise, I'm heading straight towards the island and making food corridors with growbeds. Fish just aren't valuable enough to build a containment unit for them.
>>343278061
Diving helmet is no longer a base blueprint. You can only hold your breath for 10 seconds before you get it.
:^)
What's building and gathering resources like?
I don't mind if it takes a bit of time, but if it's really grindy I won't bother.
>>343278278
Honestly this. Like I've been trying to make use of Bio reactors with their own fish tanks. It just doesn't work, you need something else to help power it, they're just so slow to build up any power.
Plus having to sit there and cook half a dozen fish every 10 minutes just eats time when you can just shove fruit into your face.
>>343278463
Inventory is a little on the big side, but gets eaten up quickly if you're a dumbass who doesn't organize your stuff when you can. I've seen many people on here with like half their inventory eaten up by utilities they don't need, like the Sea Glide or Propulsion Gun.
Gathering resources is easy, but minerals, namely Titanium, Lithium, Quartz, Uranium, Silver, Diamonds, Mercury, Aluminum Oxide, and Magnetite are finite. So if you waste too much, you'll be going out farther and farther to find them.
Wait, hold on. I haven't found the floating islands yet, but can you build bases on them to live like a real human bean?
>>343278542
Tanks and bioreactors are only helpful if you get some of the bigger fishlife in your tanks. Ampeels and Sandsharks are better than 3-rodded nuclear reactors. A Reefback is the single best source of power in the game. It provides more energy than thermal reactors in the Active Lava Zone.

Floater Island*
Floating Islands are the underwater islands. Floater Island is pic related. And yes, you can build on it and live on it all you want, but it's a bad base location because of reasons. Namely that it's at the edge of the map, meaning the end game takes you forever to get to, and that there is a narrow area you're allowed to travel to and fro, since there are reapers around 600m away in like 3 directions.
>>343278463
gathering is like picking things up stuck on the surface, in different areas
building is placing a blueprint and filling it up with resources in your inventory
You gotta unlock quite a lot of buildings by finding boxes and scanning them in different areas
>>343278463
I really can't stand too much grinding but honestly it's not too bad in this game. especially once you get the storage upgrades for the first sub. Plus the over all cost for things is never too much. One or two trips hunting is all you need to get most projects going.
Plus recently they added a building thats whole job is to sit there and scan for a resource you want and once you get the right chip equipped it will display what it finds on your HUD.
>>343278824
You can fix it by deconstructing the Scanner Room

>>343278824
You'll be fine Anon :^)tfw same happened to me and I turned my lights on to see this
>>343279148
Very. Everything in the game is liable to kill you at a moment's notice. Leviathans (Reaper and Sea Dragon) are insta-kills if they get you outside of your ship, and they can deal 60 - 80% of your Sea Moth's health. Crab Squids and Crab Snakes deal 40% of your health, and the Squids are going to be able to disable your Sea Moth with an EMP. Sea Treaders deal that much damage as well. Ditto Sand and Bone Sharks.
You can also easily run out of food/water if you don't pay attention/aren't growing plants yet. It's possible to stay out for so long in deep water that you will die of those causes, too. The deeper you go, the more you swim, the more food and water you go through.

Turn 90 degrees, swim forward 5 feet. See another Reaper. Turn 90 degrees again, see a 3rd, this time it's fucking charging at me, and I do the Reaper juke maneuver and manage to get the fuck out of there alive.
The Mountains is a hell of a Biome.

>>343280836
It full releases in August/September and is going to get continually updated afterwards as well.
Also, it's really, really fun to explore, and THE best horror game on Steam. Nothing compares to the completely organic horror of the game. You don't get railroaded, there aren't any jump scares, and the feel of dread you get when you can't see the seafloor and hear a Reaper call... fantastic.
Story is told to you completely non-linearly, and you can go the entire game without knowing about it. There is so much to do that you can wrack up 15 - 20 hours on a single run through.
>>343280481
i was in the other subnautica thread where anons had some really cool ideas for base attackers. Leeches that drain your bases power, a critter that has camouflage and can slither in your base through the moonpool and fuck with your shit.
And general creeping paranoia for being alone so long that you start hearing muffled voices, bulkheads opening and closing and taps on the glass. And the "Welcome Home Captain" message playing when you're already inside
>>343280627

OK, I think this kinda seals the deal for me. Thanks. I've always loved under water exploration AND giant underwater monsters have always been my biggest fear, so I'm sure this horror game would actually work on me.
>>343281024
Oh fuck no, that would be far too spooky, and I say that as someone with 80 hours in Subnautica. The extra "Welcome Home, Captain" thing is a huge warning sign, considering there are sentient creatures that kidnapped/murdered every other human on this planet, out of 6+ wreckages over 30 years.
I tensed up when I read that.

Good thing Transfuser is way late in the game. Like 10+ hours in.
>>343281024
>And the "Welcome Home Captain" message playing when you're already inside
>>343280836
So far all the build I've played have been fully functional even for a early access game. The devs are releasing consistent updates every month. It's going to have a end point/story so it shouldn't be stuck in development hell. Exploration is both rewarding and terrifying.
It should be releasing in like 4 months time I think? So it might be best to wait until it's all done if you're unsure or want the full experience.
Other wise if it sounds like you'll enjoy it why not go for it while it's still on sale.

Not enough in the game for there to be one. It's a singleplayer, exploration based game that you're better off going in blind.
There really isn't all that much to do, but it's spread out significantly enough that you can get 15 - 20 hours trying to find it all. Half that time if you actually spoil yourself and look up where to go. A general would defeat the purpose of the game.

So if you hear bulkheads opening or the "Welcome Home Captain" you would just have to GTFO and lure the thing out.

Why does the water filtration system drain so much power? I build three and even a nuclear generator with 4 rods + bio generator with 8(?) Oculus isn't enough during night time.
>>343286559
hopefully.
next big 'stable' patch is rumored to be either today or tomorrow on July 1st but those are unconfirmed. hope its soon, need dat exosuit
>>343286559
Supposed to be a patch soon. Hopefully it will be fixed in that.
Can't see why it would though given I think everyone gets that problem.
>>343279786
Are those island reapers new?, I built a base there a few updates ago and didn't see any
>had rainy mood on while exploring
>gathering module boxes for new blueprints
>end up exploring the Aurora
>forgot welder so can't fix engine room leak
>knife breaks fighting off crabs
>get out and swim around to make sure not missing anything
>a few sand sharks but nothing I couldn't escape from
>suddenly music changes
>turn around
>reaver coming at me mouth wide open
>panic and use the fire extinguisher
>gives me a quick burst away
>reaver backs off
>swim like the anger of a hundred gods back to the pod
Was a good haul but holy shit that Reaver came out of no where.
Is there like perma death in this game?
>>343287192
You have the option to choose it at the start of a game I believe.
>MFW I figured out you can charge perimeter defense and the stasis rifle
Well because of your stupid interesting thread, I just bought an Early Access game.
I hope it'll be worth my 13 canadian loonerydoos.
>>343271939
Too bad it's got retard arms that ruin it's intimidation factor.
>>343287359
It is. The game is barely worth 20 so getting it on sale for around 10 makes it a good value purchase for an early access game. The devs have been steadily providing updates and trying to improve the game. Lots to do in it.
>>343286893
Because water filtration isn't easy.
>ever needing more than one
There is your fucking problem
>>343287529
One water filtration is just a bit less that what you might requires to become self-sufficient.
Two is just right, three is overdoing it.
>he doesn't wear the stillsuit
>>343287659
One + 1 lantern tree is easily enough.
>>343287359
I hope you fuckingenjoy it
>>343287698
>>343287659
>>343287529
What's the point of water filtration when you get Lantern Plants? I haven't needed salt to preserve food for a long time.
I think Lantern Plants are too OP and am considering modding in a tech tree/dependency tree to make them less so. Having a water filtration as a per-requisite and proper lighting should be the bare-minimum. Maybe nerfing its growth speed to decorative status unless you place it in a specialized greenhouse/environment as well?
>>343287698
>please press yes to enable taste neutralization
>can't press yes
>taste neutralization not activated
ok
>swimming around outside of parked Seamoth
>suddenly hear a Reaper roar
>Added Reclaimed Water +1
is the aurora supposed to assplode in the beginning? I barely got anything near the capsule I'm in and it's fucking night time and there's radiation what the fuck
>>343288040
Yes. It doesn't be come explorable/can fix it until after it explodes.
>>343287725
>lantern tree
Fuck, I never even thought about it. I should just build a bunch of growbeds and start an underwater farm.
>>343288040
Yes, but the radiation doesn't affect you unless you wait for a very long time and at most forces you to wear the lead suit around it. You only need to fix it if you plan to dive deeper around the area and need a rebreather.
night time is dark as shit.. am I supposed to fucking move out without any protection or weapons in to dark waters knwoing that somewhere in there are things waiting to eat me? fuck me
>>343288159
Just use two pots, it is more than enough.
>>343287936
Filtrated water + salt to preserve food if you want to go for a long run I guess
Am I going to have a heart attack if I play this? Extremely phobic of deep, dark water and what it might hide, but find it alluring all the same.
>>343288364
dude you barely get to do anything and then it's night time for the first time
and it gets real dank
>>343288364
yes, I'm the same way and I can't play it alone.
go for it
>>343288364
Depends on how bad your phobia is I guess. To me it's more comfy than spooky.
will there ever be a linux version?
theres a serious bug that makes it unplayable in wine.
>>343287936
>>343288316
Honestly this. Like Lanterns are amazing but go rotten really fast. So if you need to carry something with you for some long distance adventuring you'll need the preserve food + Filtrated water.
That said they probably should look into this a bit more.
>>343288307
You can make flashlight out of junk in the first area and the Seaglide comes with a flashlight as well.
>>343288316
Eh, usually I just bring a heated knife to cook fish since they are in practically every biodome but to each his own I guess. Cyclops with a potted plant is basically I-win though,
>>343288574
Just put lantern trees in your cyclops.
>>343288307
You'll generally want to avoid being out at night until you get some lighting equipment.
The shallows are pretty safe all the time though, so long as you don't go stirring up the crash fish. Gasopods can hurt you but they're defensive only and bioluminescent so they can't surprise you.
>>343288689
Wait you can do that?
>>343269812
I'd really like to buy this game, it seems so fucking comfy. All I want is a base like that for me alone under the sea so I don't have to see any other humans.
>>343288828
If you have the 400% efficiency module you can put cell chargers in it and charge them
Starting a base at the grand reef.
Supply runs are making it suffering though.
>>343288828
You can basically live in your cyclops forever and never need a base.
>"uuuuh guys I don't know, I'm afraid of submarine games"
>"is there scary monsters?"
to hell with that, diving in an underwater grotto just to understand halfway you can't go back and have to press on and you can't see the end of the tunnel is the most terrible thing that could happen underwater
>>343289068
The worst thing that can happen underwater is diving deep enough that you look down and see only murky blue, and look up and also see only murky blue.
Fucking scuba diving man, I don't know why I did it.
DON'T SWIM DOWN WHILE LOOKING UP
How long until release?
I ain't buying early access
>>343289405
August, apparently.
I don't think so though, there's still a lot of stuff to be implemented and I don't think they can do all that before october or so.
is this game worth it if you don't have any creativity? i mean how much of the games enjoyment for you includes being creative? would it feel empty or boring quickly if you just did what is necessary to progress?
>>343289068
did you died?
>Took me over ten hours to build the cyclops because I kept fucking around instead of going to get the last engine blueprint
Holy shit, but now I've packed my things and I'm ready to get bored of a life at sea and start again after a few more patches have come out
>>343289817
Do you like sight seeing and running around monsters? Half the game is building your base in some inhospitable hell hole and the other half is getting there.
>>343289163
You've not dived in the Baltic sea.
>go down 5m
>its greenish hue everywhere around and no direction seems any more clearer
>go down to 10m
>still greenish hue maybe slightly darker
>suddenly sea bed opens to you 3m below
>visibility is around 5-10m to sides and down nothing up since you've passed the area the greatest algea growth
Scared the shit out of me every fucking time.
>>343289817
This game has hardly any creativity involved for the player.
You just build a base, the only thing you can be creative about is room layout. Base building actually has a practical purpose because you unlock tech that way.
Everything else is progress to let you explore deeper and longer.
>decide to explore some cave
>somehow end up in the Inactive Lava Caverns
>find the giant skull with the untextured rib cage
>reach some area where there is no light
>red glow appears in the depths
>over 900m so it's too deep for my Seamoth to handle
>try to find my way back
>get lost
>eventually find an exit
>somehow ended up on the other side of the map from where I entered
I guess those caverns are under the entire map then.
>>343290254
I found that area too.
Not sure what it's going to end up being.
>>343290254
Huh, not actually the pic I wanted to post.
>>343290308
I think the Sea Emperor is supposed to be down there.
Do fish respawn? It feels like the shallows is getting more and more empty since I started my playthrough.
>>343290443
I think everything except supply crates and corals respawns.
>>343273380
The great white replaces the "invisible" wall you get in most games.
You don't have to mod Crysis for it to be here.
>>343274654
fuggggg is this real?
>>343290443
Any area you settle seems to eventually scare all the fish away. My base at the grand reef now has no fish around it. I have to travel out a bit to find fish anywhere at any of my bases.

Theres a picture about of someone who went down like 4k
>>343291192
It's pretty shit right now.

it's supposed to be a bunch of dead ancient sea creatures and some spooks too

It's designed to look like a flashlight.
how you fags like my base?
>>343276587
and what's being added in that update?
>>343291706
How is it not imploding? I see no reinforcements anywhere.
Might take a look at this cause /v/ is kind of obsessed with it. It is an exploration game where you build an ocean base?
>>343291706
too many decks
not enough windows
scanner room bugs the sound
>>343291821
What do you mean it bugs sound? I just built one.
Considering getting this. Is it really light on content and I'll be done with it after like 8 hours? I'm really concerned about the fact it's early access.

>>343269812
should i pirate this game?
is there a good version out that's worth pirating?
>>343290883
from my experimentation shit mostly stops spawning if you have more than 1 or 2 big aquariums, especially if you stack them on top of each other.
I think they might eat up the limit for fish and that and prevent stuff from spawning because the max limit is being reached from your base aquarium
Is there a fishing net or something or is the game still ruined by having to fucking catch a fish and eat it every 2.5 fucking nanoseconds?
and why the fuck do i have to find parts for the submarines, that is such bullshit padding just to pretend like the game is longer. You dont need to find shit to assemble anything else. I wouldnt even have bothered trying that shit out if not for console commands.
>>343292876
Newfag here. This is my base

Does the game have underwater alien facilities like in Ecco?
>>343293174
>Put two fishes in that tank

well its kinda like that
>>343293239
They breed fast.
Has anyone else had their lifeboat drift away?
I'm not sure it drifted so much as a gasopod or something bumped it and launched it about 1.5km away. I had to swim out and push it all the way back. I've since built a ring of pipes around it to keep it from drifting.
>be exploran in my fuck ayy lmaos submersible

thanks for the fish thing though that went straight over my head, i never expected there to be fish breeding
>>343293928

>>343294002

Currently you can swim at any depth, though you use more oxygen at depth. I think this is temporary until further things like the exosuit are fully implemented though.
Subs have a depth limit, and will take on hull damage beyond it. Bases also have strength limits and can rupture and flood if not built properly.
