Let's keep the /k/ thread going. Does the DP-12 appear in any games?
My buddy has this DP-12 shotgun. This thing is a monster. I'm no advocate for gun control, but there is no reason a civilian needs this thing. 16 rounds of 12GA ready to go at any time in a compact double barrel frame. Nobody needs that, but God damn is it fun to shoot. It does a good job of absorbing recoil; given its Bullpup design, everything from the hand grip back is essentially recoil springs, ending in a nice rubber butt plate. 12GA magnum rounds will still hit you hard, but anything less feels pretty good to shoot. Target loads feel like shooting a .22lr.
We actually got booted off the trap range at our gun club for shooting this thing there. Apparently being up there with 16 rounds ready to fly in just a few seconds is frowned upon.

I think it looks pretty damn cool. The chokes are a little odd, but overall I like the look.
It's really a cool gun. You pump it once and you get 2 shots. Pull the trigger, it fires the left barrel. Pull it again, it fires the right. Pump to eject the two spent rounds and load two more. So in a way, it's both a pump action and a semi automatic.

It was a cool gun club when we joined, but they've taken in so many new members in the last year or so, there's like 6,000+ members now, and they're super uptight about shit these days. Every time we go there one of the range officers hassles us about something, down to minor shit like our badges being flipped around.
Unfortunately it's the only one in the area that doesn't charge $400+ a year for membership. There's even some clubs around here that charge like $350 and then require you to do a certain amount of community service, which seems god damn ridiculous. So I guess dealing with shitty range officers is an acceptable annoyance.

I feel lucky, the club I belong to is just some private land owned by some rednecks. $60/yr, No ROs, and as long as you don't act full retard, nobody really cares. Also, I tend to go there on weekday afternoons, so I almost always have the place to myself

Actually there are several available for civilians in the US. They were built on PT-92s and registered prior to 1986. The last time I saw one for sale was about 10 years ago and it went for around $250k.

So, to try and bring vidya to this thread, what are some games you enjoy mostly or even in-part because of the guns?
It can be because of how they sound, handle, shoot or do cuhrazee shit, or because of realism, customization, sheer amount of variety, etc.
I love me some S.T.A.L.K.E.R., Red Orchestra/Rising Storm, E.Y.E., Arma and Jagged Alliance for most of the reasons listed above. But even games like Far Cry (only have 2 and 3) can be a blast just having fun gunning shit down with ironsights.
It's such a bummer when games feature "generic" guns for every class of firearm they decide to put in. Like only one "pistol" (maybe a shinier one later on, à la GTA), one SMG, son on and so forth.
