I want to get the PC version on JP release, with the potential pre-order bonuses, but while the PS4 version is on moonamazon there is no sign of the other versions yet. Do we know when or if there will be a PC preorder at all?
I'm familiar enough with Amazon that not understanding the moonrunes isn't as much as a handicap as it would be on other sites. But I also don't want to miss out because I'm waiting for an Amazon preorder that will never come.

I haven't see the show yet so I can't comment on that. The game's animations aren't based on the source material though and Guts' swings look like there is zero weight behind them. It looks very similar to that Berserk inspired Vindictus class which is to say it looks bad.

Also in the manga, anime, and games there's also a sense of weight in the blows even if he does swing it really fast. The musou game is lacking that, you can especially see that in Guts' 360 spin he does that has no logical wind up and his feet just hover on the ground.

The horizontal slash is something he ALWAYS gets in a stance for in the manga because it's a move you'd need to brace yourself for. In the Musou it seems instant.

The vertical slsah looks fine.
The spin though, it looks dumb. His feet just glide on the ground and he doesn't brace for it similarly to how he should for the horizontal slash. When he does that move in the manga and the PS2 game he's off balance at the end of it. In the musou he just turns his back to the enemy as if to say "nothin personell".
And it seems velocity increases with the strikes instead of slowing down which would be realistic. In the manga and ps2 game there is a lot of emphasis on Guts always composing himself after a strike to keep himself on balance, meaning his strikes slow down after he throws them. In this musou he just slices at full speed as if the sword weighs nothing and then stops when the animation is finished, with no apparent stress on his body. Which again is retarded because the sword weighs like 200 pounds.
It's just a weak adaption animation wise. I envy you for thinking it looks okay.

As someone who started reading berserk like 4 days ago. Dude Guts swings his sword with Zero recoil. At least up through golden era. Like swinging it multiple times in a second without taking a single step. I thought the ps2 game looked to slow. The new game looks par for course. Maybe Guts gets slower but where I am (a volume after Femto shows up) he has been swinging the Dragonslayer like it was a butter knife. Especially in the first few chapters of the manga.

This is an example of Guts doing a 360 spin. It's a bit cherry picked but he doesn't do it often and usually tumbles afterwards. Guts falls a fair amount in the manga.

And I think you're grasp on the speed of the fights is a bit off, he's not swinging it around THAT fast, he's just swinging it which translates to fast as fuck because it's a 200 pound slab of steel falling through the air. Guts' real strength comes from stopping the thing.

Berserk is so good because the source material is amazing. You can't translate all that there is in there, it would take more episodes than One Piece has. It's displays a very introverted perspective that you can't capture well in animation.
And as for the rest of the manga, the apostles, I also really don't like how they've been cut out for the most part but they're so long it's understandable. The Wyald arc for instance would have been enough for another entire film to be made on top of the trilogy.

Nah, that's part of the tragedy that is Griffith. You can argue that he is the defining person in Guts life, good and bad, and (was) his greatest friend, but he had sexual tension for Casca since the day he woke up in that tent, and at this point loves her so much her well-being is his sole concern and regaining her mind (as ill-thought out as that idea is) his main goal.
Griffith as the spurned antagonist over the love interest is part of what makes his revenge on the two of them specifically powerful.
