I seriously don't fucking get it. What makes it so popular compared to other shooters? The guns feel like they have no weight to them, there's no fucking iron-sights, and the graphics are outdated It's tedious as shit, every match is the same. Why does this trash get so much praise?

Overall its kinda fun with friends and rank system brings out the autism of tryharding at unprecedented scales but the game is just so random and balanced in such a shitty way, not to mention that every random person you meet is a braindead faggot but im still glad i played it because i had quite a bit of fun and made some money (doesnt make me rich but i aint complaining) never going to touch that shit again tho ive had enaugh of the shitty gunplay it just feels boring and unfair

Cause I played CS back in 1999 as an 8 year old, back when you had to switch Half Life to Counter Strike by using the Half Life CD and a mod downloaded from the web.
Now I play strictly competitive, after a few-year hiatus from CS:S. Had CS:GO in my inventory since release, and played it only recently once I got bored of every other game.
Competitive is fun, and reminds me of good ol' Source and 1.0

the graphics were beautifully simple and the colors were vibrant, in contrast to the ancient 1.6 textures and csgo's boring brown and bloom in every map. the gunplay in source is definitely better than go, maybe not 1.6. movement wise, pre-orange box source (rip) was amazing. it felt much more precise and fluid than the floaty l4d2 feeling that go has.

If we're talking fun shooters then iron sight is just crap for CoD kids. It adds nothing interesting to the gameplay except it creates false feel of real 1337 operator which gives 10yro boner.
But I agree, CS:GO is crap. CS1.6 was innovative in it's time. Shiny graphics and weapon skins are last things I wish for in competitive shooters.
