That said, 7.6 does seem weirdly low. It's getting 8s and 9s everywhere else.
And the game *is* pretty darned good, for what it is. Not the best ever, but better than I was expecting for sure. I'd give it a solid 8.5 myself, and I am anything but an SMT/Persona or Fire Emblem fanboy

A solid 8.5/10 for me.
Gameplay is on point for a turn-based RPG and there's plenty of weapons, skills and talents to unlock for your characters.
Story doesn't really have any stakes to it but you get a view at the struggles of professionals in the entertainment industry so that's kinda neat.
Soundtrack can be hit or miss but at least it works well in combat.
Characters in the game are also generally likable with some pretty entertaining side stories for you to do for them that remind me of social links from Persona.
Some boss fights do drag out, but that may just be because of the style of play I chose (use buff skills and debuff skills before engaging with offense in the boss encounters).
Wish the hub world was more free roam rather than having a map system to teleport you to different parts of Japan and being restricted by street crossings to go to different areas on the same map.
Other than that, clever dungeon design and fun gameplay definitely gives a great experience to be had for me..

Dungeons are my fav part of the game. Story is full retard and I dont care a single bit for the idol culture shit, but the gameplay and dungeons are good.
It's a lot better than the persona dungeon design which is just a corridor that either leads to a chest or to the next floor.

I'm 59 hours in, I have to say that if they make this a series with characters from a bigger selection of FE games, this could easily be one of Atlus's very best series.
Also, it's annoying how #FE got docked points for tedious dungeons when both persona 4 and 3 with their random gen did not get docked for this. I know different people reviewed those different games but there should be at least some semblance to consistency in their reviewing process.
