Played a couple hours last night, got Fiore and Victor for maybe 20 minutes then they left again
So far it's alright except I don't like not being able to swap party leaders but atleast it auto changes you to the last character you used in battle, although the constant swapping back and forth from battle to moving on the field is very annoying.

I'm enjoying it a lot, but I also managed to keep my expectations pretty low since I was just happy they're continuing the franchise. I think its a good game, but I can't tell how much i'm appreciating the game of its own merits and how much is enjoying the game because i really like the franchise.

It's average as fuck so far. Story already has too much silly padding and backtracking. I love the very first thing you go to do is go to the capital to request more reinforcements and you get there and Fidel's shit dad says NO and then you go OK and have to walk all the fucking way back to town. I mean, for what purpose was all that? Shit like that has already happened way too much.
Don't know what to say about combat just yet. I feel like I'm just mashing and doing cancel bonuses most of the time. I've started spamming MP attacks though with melee characters because it just takes too long to kill anything with basic attacks. MP is far more valuable than health I'm noticing. Playing the casters is fun though.
Areas are too big. I mean I could understand if there was something interesting in them but there isn't. It's just a bunch of empty space most of the time.
I wish you could just save where ever. I don't see a reason why it would be bad.
Hate controlling only Fidel outside of combat. It's boring after awhile seeing only him. Hate the constant swapping back and forth if you have someone else selected. Hate how the characters will sometimes be standing out in the escape zone because they're not at the head of the party.
