Because total war formula, at least the tactical battles, would not fucking work for 40k.
Tabletop 40k is about squad-style tactics with no real formations to speak of. Fantasy directly translates to Total War because tabletop already utilizes formation tactics.

Darren (One of the CM's for CA with knowledge of all future DLC) went on a lengthy talk on one of his streams about how useless a Kislev DLC would be with all the other races and such they'd need to make, so it seems unlikely.

Havent touched it in a while. Beat all the campaigns once on hard and the Greenskin campaign on legendary. I probably won't go back until some new factions are out.
It was fun, but I feel like the game burned itself out pretty quickly.
