I went ahead and bought Gothic 2 seeing as it was 2 bucks on Steam.
Also got the Oblivion Ultimate Edition, Dragonfall, and Dragon Age Origins with all the content packs.

Gothic 1 has an unique atmosphere. You feel like you're basically in a big ass prison being raped by bigger men. Until you become strong, and you rape them instead.

Its debatable since your enjoyment of TES series strongly indicates shit taste. Gothic series aims at much more focused and handcrafted experience than DUDE OPEN WORLD AND LORE LMAO
