Also, you seem to not understand that you can very much compare things that aren't very much alike. Comparisons do not have to be strikingly obvious.
One of the worst things about Battleborn and Borderlands is that every character has the exact same personality. Every single character is snarky and sarcastic almost all the time and feels the need to butt in every five seconds to make some dumbass comment.
The writing in these games is so fucking lazy it's actually astounding.

Please don't tell me to go back to r/battleborn but:
Characters were always set to be earnable with in game currency it's just that season pass holders got them instantly so they could use it on other things. Maps I remember being questionable since you can't really restrict maps in a multiplayer focused game.
Plus the season pass was $20.
I only know this because I was vaguely interested in this game to see if Gearbox could redeem themselves, now it's fun to watch the tire fire burn.

Unfortunately, I gotta give it a negative review. Lack of content, PVP and PVE, is killing the game. Which leads to lack of players. Also the grinding is unreal in this game. Playing the same levels over and over with different characters, levels which last up to one hour, just to get a bunch of coins (and you need those a lot). And recently they've introduced microtransactions despite saying that they were not going to do such thing.
And massive performance issues on so many systems is another big thing, and I believe many players left due to these performance issues which are never going to be fixed.
Overall a negative experience, it was only fun to play with friends, while we were experimenting with all those characterse, who are actually well designed and interesting. This game is worth 15 dollars at most. Gearbox just released this game prematurely in my opinion, it was very rude from them to ask 60 dollars for this game when it came out.
4/10, there are way better and more polished games for this price.
