The big shell is a mess to navigate compared to Outer Heaven or the jungle in MGS3 and is just not that fun. Especially after the bomb blows up in Shell 2 and it gets flooded and we get underwater escort missions.
It was fun and the plot was interesting (if hard to follow) but I preferred the original and MGS3.
