Stab her in the butt repeatedly. Learn the telegraph for the tail swipe and how to dodge it, I think it's the only attack that can hit you while stabbing her butt. If she starts flying up, run away until she lands. If after landing she ends up facing you, run at a 45 degree angle away from her if she starts charging you, that way you dodge the charge and end up in a good spot to run closer and continue stabbing her in the butt. If she's standing up, get close enough to bait a body slam, dodge, and she'll end up back in the crawling position where it's easy to fight her.

Cut off the tail ASAP, don't attack right at the base, attack further down. Only hit the tail until it's off, then you can attack wherever. His tail attack is hard to roll and unblockable without an upgraded greatshield. This boss is a big health sponge and is actually faster to fight solo because the health buff he gets from phantom allies is much larger than other bosses. Always strafe to his sides when he is upright, and watch for when he rears up which signals his body smash. Also, when he begins charging forwards on the ground do not touch him or get within striking distance til he stops, while he does his locomotive room charge his entire body will hurt you no matter what.
Make sure your weapon is at least +5 and just hack away at his feet once his tail is off

Hitting him with plunge attacks is helpful but not necessary. Biggest thing is taking out the dogs which is where yakkity saxing up the stairs helps out a lot. Try to keep the dogs well in front of him on the stairs and ledge and kill them as quickly as possible. Also avoid the capra demon's two handed downward attack because that'll wreck your shit.
I hate the boss fight too but it is manageable with practice.

Because RNG kind of fucks you over sometimes and you can't even make it to the stairs because he immediately opens up with one of his heavy hitting two hand attacks as soon as the fight begins.
The boss is fine in my opinion it's just the arena you fight him in that's stupid. It's too small given the range of his attacks and the fact that you really need to dodge some of them and the fact that he's got two additional enemies with him. Doesn't help either that the developers decided to throw in a couple of trees because "muh trees make maps pretty" which have a nasty habit of blocking your camera.
If they made the arena bigger and lost the fucking trees I'd say it could have been one of the better bosses in the game.

In my experience you want kind of a balance of poise and mobility with the capra. Basically enough poise not to get stun locked by the dogs but still a light enough load that you can move and dodge effectively since the capra himself has some attacks that will straight up fuck your shit up even with a shield.

I can dispatch either of them easily enough, it's the buffs applied after I kill one of them that makes it difficult.
It might just be my equipment setup though. I tend to roll with claymore and a heavy shield, medium speed.

Just run away and wait for it to do its slow-ass running attack, then hit it a few times. You'll likely never take any damage at all if you're careful and just go in after it does its running/dash attack, you can get 2-3 hits and then have time to get away. People keep saying you'll need to watch for its tail swipe but I was never close to being in range doing the above. Its poison vagina-discharge is more dangerous and spreads further away than you think.

Drop some points into health/endurance early instead, then make sure your weapon is as upgraded as it can be. Either use Magic Weapon from Griggs or try infuse for Int scaling and it should be piss easy

Dodge the first strikes, run up the stairs behind the dogs and stand on the overhang, kill the dogs as fast as possible, Capra will try to hit you but will probably fall.
You just need to keep abusing the stairs until the dogs are dead, the rest is simple dodging.

The trick to Capra demon is real simple, but counterintuitive.
After you go through the fog gate the only correct thing to do is swerve to the right by running/dodging/whatever.
If you go forward the Capra demon is on your ass in seconds.
If you stay put, the Capra demon and the dogs are on you in seconds.
If you go left, the dogs block you off and everyone is on your in seconds.
And once they all start wailing on you you're dead since they stunlock you or simply prohibit you from moving away since the area is quite narrow.
The idea is to move to the right and try to reach the stairs by circling around them.
That way you're in the clear and they can't corner you.
It's counterintuitive since you can clearly see the stairs on the left when you enter and your first impulse is to reach them or try to fight Capra then and there. Both result in a quick death.
