You know, there are two things that bother me.One: Why send your kids to an arbitrary date like 1904? That's a pretty terrible date to ensure their survival, actually. Their future contains both of the World Wars and the Great Depression, plus we lacked many of the amenities we take for granted today.
Two, I understand it's related to the bootstrap paradox, but where does Phi's brooch comes from? I can understand said paradox being applied to a person because a person's born from a mother and a father, but I'm having a hard time picturing where the Brooch came from. More specifically- how in the everloving fuck did said brooch have the whole Jupiter Latin quote under such circumstances?

Way I see it, the game both sets up for a future installment, and works as a conclusion (albeit a flat one).
The whole "appeal to the West" concept, and the Steam release just makes me think that Spike Chunsoft is testing the waters. Should the game sell well, they'll definitely make another one, no doubt, and I can bet that the unused concepts would work their way into the game.If there is a fourth game, it's going to take place in a nuclear silo, and escaping makes a nuke go off, triggering nuclear war. VLR was very slow to start up and the midgame was really boring and it had too many throwaway characters. I think the ending sequence and the leadup to it was amazing, but it had a fairly weak body overall.
ZTD was kind of the opposite. The start was still a bit slow but the midgame was really amazing, followed by a weak ending.

I like it way less than both prequels. Its logic doesn't even try to make sense anymore, deus ex machinas and cheap plot devices are abused, the story feels forced and lacking, it's more like a patch in the overall ZE plot while doing more harm than good (Transporter). There's a couple of great scenes ruined by the (bad) cinematic direction.
