It's okay to not like popular games.
I've tried to like Bethesda RPGs but they all suck. Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim, Fallout 3-4 and NV. All suck. Skyrim and NV were slightly less boring.
I also think Blade Runner is overrated. It's not a good movie. The plot is garbage, the book is better, and the multiple versions don't make up for the base plot sucking cocks. The rooftop rain monologue isn't cool. It's edgy cliche shit that reads like fanfic.

When I discuss games with people I don't know I usually bring up Witcher 3, but I've never played Witcher 3, I just want them to think I have so I don't have to tell them I put 200+ hours into Project Diva F.
Most of the time I get introduced to a series either via a latest installment, a spin-off, or a reboot. As a result, I often (but not always) end up liking them more than previous games.
Some examples I can think of off the top of my head are Hotline Miami 2, Metal Gear Rising and Deus Ex: Human Revolution95% of the time it's because I liked the soundtrack and I couldn't give two shits about the gameplay until I actually played it and liked it

I've played FF8, FF9, FF10 and FF10-2. I have not beat a single one. Don't really care to either. The grindy encounter-every-5-steps makes me want to punch my tv.
Also, in my pile of shame is Balder's Gate: Shadows of Amn, and the Fallout series (especially 1 and 2).
Tried to play them, but I just can't stand their UI/movement/mechanics. They felt extremely frustrating.

If you like ALttP then play other 2D Zeldas but be wary of the Four Swords and DS entries. If you don't, you can probably skip this series as a whole. For OoT, if you like that then play the 3D games in chronological order until you stop liking them. Trust me, it works out. If you don't then no big deal, just drop the 3D games.
