but the story and characters are just a fucking tonne of fun, the setting is super well realized, the tone of the game is a good natured parody of a lot of tropes found in rockstar's own games and it just all comes together to make a game that's genuinely enjoyable as hell.
If you played games back when this was actually released then you'll likely have the patience to overcome its weaker points and enjoy it. If you've mostly gamed on this gen or even just last gen you might not get as much mileage out of it.
