Time to show gandhi who's the real boss
>>343086476
civ looks pretty fun to me but i heard their games are shit until they've been out for a few years.
so should i get civ 5 and enjoy it right now? or does civ 6 actually look good/complete?
>>343086680
Isn't Civ V (the complete pack) like $5? Just go fucking buy that.
>>343086476
She looks like fucking Lord Farquaad
What If it was made by Japs in terms of design?
CANONICALLY NOT PART OF EU
Will it be back to stacks and tiles or will it still be the insult to the series that was Civ V?
She looks like someones mom in a Disney cartoon.
>>343086476
Victoria is FLAT
F
L
A
T
>>343086476
I can't wait to see this smug face for every denouncement.
REMOVE EU
>>343086476
uhhhhhhhh where are the mosques and the ISIS units???
I hope Hungary will be in the game.
They fucking left it out of the game but they played major roles in the history if EU.
Why does she have a fat face in a slim body?
ALL HAIL BRITANNIA AND THE QUEEN
THE SLAYERS OF EU
>>343088273
I know you'll get angry, but they probably thought having Austria in the game, with a leader who ruled over most of Hungary, was giving them representation already.
I'd rather see Switzerland in the game. Or Romania.
>>343088438
because shes british you twat
I hope the other British leader is a PM and not a monarch, if it is it'll almost definitely be Churchill, maybe Asquith or Lloyd George
#EUXIT
Is this game coming to PC?
>>343086476
>England
>Ruler isn't Muslim black
Its 2016, England knows they wuz Qweenz n shiet
>>343090547
Nah it's a Vita exclusive.
>>343090547
Come on man. Civ is too computationally complex for that. It's only coming out on the Vita (And, if the stretch goal is reached, WiiU)
>>343086476
What's with the mobile game art style?
>>343087192
Support units are stackable (ex: Artillery)
>a world where CK2 exists
>Civ still gives you just one immortal 'leader'
What the fuck, when is this babby series plans to evolve already? Why can't we have a succession of rulers?
>>343090569
That series was actually very good.
>>343090828
it is that's why, it's on iOS
>>343090925
Because some nations don't have nearly enough people to fill the role for all the years, not unless they're all given some kind of 140 year lifespan.
Even then, it would be pretty difficult to make work as they'd have to program each leader differently.
>>343090925
People identify as the leader they choose. Past Civ games gave you multiple leader options.
Also what >>343093073 said. Even a civ like Rome wouldn't have leader options from before 500 BC. And the game starts in 5,000 BC.
>>343086476
>2 units, a district AND a building
I like it. Hope it's like that for all civs.
>>343093553
They're trying to make it so civs change depending on what you build in cities and what policies you enact, not just 2 uniques and an ability at the start of the game.
What the fuck why does she look like a Dreamworks character?
>>343087147
There more waifus and shit gameplay. Still be mobile tier graphic
>>343086680
Civ5 complete.
Its very fun, its a pretty casual game, the entire Civs series is, but its a lot of fun.
Wasn't Victoria a bit more stacked?
>>343094147
Yeah she looks like shit. Also painted backgrounds are disappointing.
>>343086476
>teddy is fat
>victoria isnt
are catherina or hitler in?
>>343086680
The entire game of Civ V is literally 41 cents on steam right now. Even if you only played it for an hour, you get your monies worth.
>>343093345
Still, it would be kind of cool to see new leaders come and go. Either through just passing of time, or player interferences killing them off somehow to install new leaders. Granted, that'd probably make things too complicated even for veteran players if you had to keep track of possible successors who could be worth helping reach leader status, especially if they're based on someone known for being shitty or prone to betrayal.
>>343094580
Eh, at least they seem more interesting than the static backgrounds some leaders had in V. You'd think they could have at least had some minor animation to go on, like Washington could look out his window and see his men fighting enemies if he was at war with someone, or Catherine being offered an item by a servant.
>>343094647
I agree it would be great. I've thought of the same thing. But it just wouldn't be feasible since pretty much no civ in the game besides China has had leaders for 7,000 straight years. And even then, you'd have to combine Mongolia with China to make it work.
>>343086476
>unique district
Oh shit, that's pretty sick. More uniques that aren't cavalry units is a welcome change.
>>343095058
Most of the backgrounds in Civ V had animation. Even if it was minor like grass lightly swaying for Japan and Indonesia. Shoshone and Songhai had the most obvious animations.
>>343095184
The thing with civ is that really they don't represent the totality of the civs, they represent a snapshot of them. Periods and items that are firm in popular mythology.
>>343095184
As I mentioned in the one post, you could maybe cheat things by giving the leaders extended lifespans, though of course this could result in players never seeing more than 5-7 leaders depending on what happens. Of course the biggest thing would be making each leader distinctly unique which would require a lot of work. Though it would be awesome because then you could make fuck around until you got all the leaders you wanted in a campaign who could be more agreeable to your worldview for whichever endgame you sought.
>>343095290
Yea, but then you have things like Liz's static throne room, or Gandhi's placid water. I mean, sure, it doesn't need to be a mini cartoon all the time, but some more interaction would definitely help. With that said, I kind of like the idea of painted backdrops as it kind of lends to the theatrical nature of the series.
>>343086476
Cover the face and I'd fug her
>>343095058
Are you kidding me? Not only were there slight animation, even if there weren't the backgrounds look miles better than Civ 6's, which looks more like a blurry mess.
>>343095925
Swaying grass really that fucking impressive, bub. And not like painted backgrounds can't be good if they're used properly with the character's animations.
>>343086680
Yes, buy Civ 5 and play with the community balance patch mod (http://forums.civfanatics.com/forumdisplay.php?f=497). Basically fixes everything wrong about the base game.
>>343096087
I never said it was impressive, I was saying that you were flat out wrong about there being no animation. And I also never said painted backgrounds can't be good, which is a dumb point nobody would make. What I'm saying is that the current painted backgrounds we're ACTUALLY SEEING in the gameplay footage looks like a blurry fucking mess.
>>343096317
I never said there weren't any animations at all, I said MOST had static backgrounds.
>>343094147
>People STILL getting surprised about the art direction of this game after this many videos published
[s]2:1[/s]
>>343094580
Seriously, what's up with that? A blatant step down from Civ V
>>343097071
Don't have to do unique backgrounds to other specific leaders when you shuffle them around
>>343098224
But they will have unique backgrounds, just nothing animated or with 3D elements.
I'm digging how the cities actually grow out now. Those dinky forts were getting pretty samey after a while.
>>343086476
Ok I get they're changing gears with the art """"style""""" but Victoria just looks fucking weird and creepy compared to the other leaders.
Look at the thumbail, it looks like someone wearing one of those baby masks.
>>343086476
Who designer her?
Pixar?
>>343099956
She looks pretty normal to me. I think they need to fix Cleopatra and make Teddy not fat.
>>343100437
>Teddy not fat.
Teddy isn't fat; his face just got stung by thousands of bees.
>>343100314
Looks more like mix of Pixar and DreamWorks. Not sure why they gave her a butt chin, though.
>>343086476
>British Museum
Not anymore
