It's okay, the combat is braindead in the beginning and begins to take off in the later parts of the game.
I have no idea why they suddenly changed the combat direction from active kind of to the weird mess in Sophie, which is basically chess or something since you have to decide most things before you make your turn and not activate your meter supports when you want to.
The alchemy in the game is fun, it is probably the one aspect I've spent most of my time in the game, mainly for needless minmaxing and messing around, it's good.
Most of the characters are lackbusters though, Sophie has a really cute voice but nothing as memorable as Sterk or Linca for example. The game also has a doll making function which allows you to change your friend's clothes and some stats.
Not the best game (maybe 6.5/10) but not the worst. It's fun and comfy. My personal favorite isE&L in terms of combat
