#FE is an example of why you don't announce shit early in development.
It started out as SMT x FE but they realized how hard it is to do crossovers without it being total garbage, so they ended up changing the game into something more original.
#FE still gets bad press from people butthurt about it not being a legit crossover like the trailer originally implied. It probably would have done a lot better if they had just waited till they had shit to show but that was back when the Wii U legit didn't have shit on it or shit coming out for it, so they just panic announced a bunch of games.

When you get more than 3 party members, you can switch one party member out for another without using up their turn(except Itsuki, he always has to participate so you can't switch him out).
You just can't keep everyone the same level so don't really try. It's better to keep everyone around a certain level though since you'll want to be switching them out in battle due to not being able to have every type of physical and magic attack on 3 characters. Reserve members also get a fuck ton less EXP and Mastery if they don't participate.

Some bikini costumes were changed to completely new costumes, some racey costumes were covered up a bit more, they covered up three frames worth of a panty shot in battle for one costume, they aged up all the characters by a year to make Tsubasa 18 instead of 17, they removed a DLC dungeon, and they changed a bit of chapter 2 to remove mentions of Guravure modeling, and some jokey conversations that appear in later chapters referring to it.
It's basically entirely fucking nothing aside from the modeling storyline. If anything, the censorship is bad because it's ridiculously inconsistent.

I bought it for the simple fact that it actually had the original voice cast. The censorship really sucks but I honestly consider forced dubs to be an even worse affront. And I'd like to make a statement with my purchase that keeping the original voices is something that should be rewarded.
Though sadly I really appear to be in the clear minority of this. People always bitch about the quality of localizations and then they don't put their money where their mouth is.
I mean fuck. Censorship really sucks. But forced dubs are just as bad if not worse in the majority of the cases. And if a game without a dub does spectacularly then that stands out. But if a game with censorship does poorly then it's just a dime a dozen and likely won't have an impact on localization at all.
Really. Choose your battles. Opposing terrible localization practices is all great and all, but you will never get far if you don't also stop to support good localization practices. But I guess it's a moot point at this point because #FE is hardly a great success either way.
It's still a great game though and I am really happy that I got it. Whether or not you pirate it, the very thought of the great number of fans of Atlus RPGs that are just skipping the game one way or another is just sad.
Gameplay is fun.
Music is great.
Characters are mediocre.
Story is passable.
It's a solid 7/10; only reason I'm still playing is to see if the story goes anywhere fun and the combat. Plus, it's a reason to dust off the Wii U and not feel buyer's remorse.
