its a really vibrant scene to be honest.
sure there's a lot of degenerates especially around the edges of the competitive scene, but thats because it's nintendo. most of the pros and personalities are entertaining to watch on stream.

I went to a local recently and it smelled okay. There was a bit of a divide with Melee and Smash 4 players though, I think a few talked a bit of trash, but it wasn't a big thing. Smash 4 peeps were definitely more annoying outside the game.
