Started up Doom right now and somehow it started up in 640x480 resolution. I changed it to 1440p but noticed it was slow as hell. Slow menu, and when I got into the game it felt really off. Clunky as hell and not how I remembered it playing it through the first time. Checked the OSD on my screen:

Changed it back to 120 and man what a difference. I've seen the difference before but this really was night and day. Best comparison I've experienced.

Yeah that's true, but since the old CRT was so clunky (weight, took a lot of space) the trade off is worth it for me.
And where are you from? You can get 120/144hz monitors for aroun 330$ in Sweden. That's with no GSYNC/Freesync or IPS panels ofc. but they still work well.

It kicks the shit out my 290 at medium settings at 1440 in spots.
Set my monitor to 90 hz which my gfx could run the game at, man it felt great, 60 fps is a bad meme, 30 literally unplayable.

I'm loving this game but the screen tearing is kicking my shit in.
I have to choose between screen tearing or enabling v-sync and dealing with massive frame drops when enemies show up. Anybody else have this problem?
