They were piss easy in the original game but they sped them up in duodecim. Unless you have really good reflexes you're not dodging shit unless you take a guess on whether your opponent's attacking your BRA or your HP. If you're against the AI it doesn't matter because it seems to do shit at random. If you're against a human opponent you can guess what he's about to do in some cases but if he has an assist ready and you're near a wall you have a 50% chance to get absolutely fucked.
