When they finally started doing Dark Souls 3 I was excited because I had just finished it and wanted to see how someone else played it, but it was a goddamn fucking embarrassment to watch and the commentary wasn't even very good.
Dropped them and never looked back.

This one I kind of take issue with. For one as far as I know Matt has been the only one streaming anything resembling weekly. The "official" streams are usually once a month if that.
As for the office I feel like that's less them pocketing the money themselves and more Vessel not panning out like they had hoped it would.
Obviously I've got not clue how that deal worked so maybe Vessel offered them loads of cash for signing on and they ARE total scumbags who just took the money and ran, but I've also literally never seen anyone say they were actual using Vessel at all so it seems equally possible that Vessel nets them almost nothing.

As I said 2 or 3 posts ago, it's silly to call yourself a fan of something when you're very uninformed and inexperienced in it. I stopped watching when I realized the only good gaming channels are Dunkey and Sark.
I keep watching them, but their content quality has still degraded a lot, the only one in the team that puts some sort of effort in editing videos is Liam.
Back when Matt and Pat were the only two in the team, and they had to put actual effort in editing for Machinima AND talking/commenting on the game they were playing. Their videos were way funnier.
Now, since they'd rather discuss cool things about the 90s instead of actually talking about the game they're playing, they're not as funny. Liam is still the one who really puts in the effort to talk and make jokes about the games, even going as far as interrupting a conversation in the trio videos.
I'll still watch them because they're nice guys and I need background noise to work sometimes. But the times in which I usually watched a single video up to 10 times, burst out laughing every time, and learned every single line they said in each are looong gone.

The entire point of the goddamned character is that he's a foil to you, and, to a lesser extent, Akihiko. He's a gangly loser with no drive in life who compensates for it by making jokes and acting like an ass. When Pretty Boy Blue Hair rolls up and gets pampered for being the CHOSEN PERSONA ADEPT SPECIAL SNOWFLAKE, he gets pissed off because he feels that Protag doesn't deserve it.
Junpei finds a girl he's happy with who gets taken away from him TWICE and the dude can barely manage to keep himself together. But he realizes the error of his ways, vows to become a better person, and gets humbled by the entire experience. Yeah, it took people dying or nearly dying for him to come back around, but the important point is that he uses all of that suffering to drag himself out of a bad situation rather than actively making it worse.
It's such a good fucking character arc and it's a shame to see it wasted on people like Pat.

Persona 3 actually isn't too bad with the life lessons, provided you're a part of the target audience of ronery virgins.
It's got some power of friendship bullshit all throughout, but it's also got plenty of other stuff with actual merit. Basically just telling you that you're not resigned to any fate except for death, and even then you can go down fighting it. That you can find inspiration and companionship in just about anyone provided you give them the chance. That people are a lot more than the face they put on for everyone else, and finding someone whom you can trust with that true self is one of the most valuable things out there.

For example, the early videos I watched were them playing the game quite a long way through so you can see different levels and whatnot. They edited all that footage to just show the best and funniest parts of the LP for Youtube which I appreciated.
