About RPGs:
Which game should I get if I enjoy: choices, immersive story, interesting characters, etc.? I was thinking about one of the Elder Scrolls, but if they're anything like Skyrim, the characters are really bland.
I already played Dark Souls, Witcher, Mass Effect, Fallout, Dragon Age. So what now? Am I wrong about Elder Scrolls? Is there any good game I'm missing out?
I'm considering buying SFV, but none of my friends play fighting games.

It doesn't get any better than Skyrim, though. Almost every named NPC has a personality, allegiance or story to discover. Dialogue is quality over quantity. In Morrowind almost all NPCs provide identical responses and very few NPCs in the world have any personality whatsoever. In Oblivion there are fewer topics to discuss, with fewer NPCs willing to discuss them, but dialogue changes between NPCs much more often than in Morrowind.

Recently downloaded a ps2 emulator and was replaying Dynasty Warriors 3. Such good memories.

I'm getting fucking raped in Total Annihilation campaign on hard.
Mission 5, first time I cleared the map almost effortlessly before realizing I had to go to an island. I had it won but then I killed the gate I was supposed to capture lol. Now I'm having trouble on the mainland again. I'll get it soon...
Also got the Stronghold Collection. Don't feel like figuring out how to play at the moment, just gonna keep going with TA.
I got Original War for like $1.25 but not playing it yet.
Probably got enough for this sale, since I still have Total War: Warhammer to play and am playing Overwatch an hour or 2 a day. But I'm still refreshing these threads every day hoping to be sold on something.

I've bought Stronghold 2 as well how are you finding it? I tried Stronghold HD but got bored of the "wait 5 mins for 6 enemies to attack and die in 2 seconds so you can sit doing nothing for another 5 mins til the next attack" campaign.
Man so far everything seems like shit in the sale. The few good games have hardly any discount at all and it's no fun with at LEAST a 12 or 24hr Daily deal to make it worth checking back.

I got one game, played it, wasn't bad but wasn't catching me at all, refunded it. I got lucky on cards with just the Queue thing, made my badge, have 8 fucking duplicates and can't do anything with them, not even help friends out cuz they'll expire before that stupid mobile auth thing will kick in and I disagree with those mobile auth shits in the first place, just another pain in the ass that I'll forget or lose the phone/app and be fucked out of my account that never gets hacked in the first place.
Steam used to be cool, man. It was a fair service that protected games as much as the consumer. Now it's just pure greedy lust with no concern for what gets posted or the trading system they themselves added in the first fucking place. But they have us by the libraries now, anons...we're fucked.

Bought a bunch of survival games to try them out. Ark, Slime Rancher, The Long Dark, Subnautica and The Forest
Ended up keeping Subnautica and The Forest and keeping the others.
Slime Rancher is very charming but there's not much to do, doesn't feel like a good value at $16. I'll buy it again if I see it for like $5
Long Dark there's not much to do either, it's mostly a walking simulator. I like the A E S T H E T I C S but it's surviving and exploring is pretty tedious. If it gets a major update and rebalances the normal difficulty to be less annoying and slow I'll check it out again maybe

If you're a DMC and Platinum game fan you should check out Aces Wild, a really fast paced brawler with a huge emphasis on air combos and a deep combat system you can sink your teeth into
It has Flash-tier graphics though but all the flashy special effects means you'll barely notice it. It's only 2 dollars and only set me back a few TF2 hats so yall should give it a shot

I put way more than that into both Isaacs and I hated Gungeon. But that's because Gungeon is much more "Bullet hell" from the get-go than Isaac was. Think of some of the higher bullet-spam enemies from isaac, all the time, and the upgrade guns you do find have limited ammo so you can't just find a good gun and use it forever.

I find The Forest quite fun, resource gathering is very easy and you start with an axe and next to fresh water. It also gives you a lot of freedom in how you want to play too. I'm looking for a spot to build a house boat right now
Most of the challenge is the actually quite difficult enemies who are quite strong and hard to 1v1
I say try it out and if you don't like the first hour or so refund it.

I wouldnt pay more than $150 for a 780. 560 was a great mid range card, but nvidia doesnt do any great mid range cards anymore sadly, its all about the high end for them now.
RX 480 will definitely be the best card for around $200 for some time, but if you must have nvidia then get a 970 although compared to the RX 480 it will have poor DX12 support, limited vram and no further driver optimizations.
I'm pretty disappointed this sale. No flash sales so there's no hope of getting cheaper games, and I feel like all of the games are either overpriced or shit. Only fun game I got was Salt & Sanctuary. Only other game that looked interesting to me was Epsilon but I don't want to fall for the early access meme for the 3rd time.

I only play co-op with a friend or two, but zeds can destroy a building somewhat fast if there is a bunch or if you used low quality building materials. I always use one of the two story houses or cabins, they make a great starting base, especially since they aren't too big so that making a trench or a fence isn't too tedious. just be careful of how much you build or cook, etc at any given time,too much activity at any particular time can spawn in a special zombie that can summon small to large hordes that fuck your shit up unless you have decent weapons due to a "heat signature" drawing attention to your location

I realize that I've ended up with a fairly mediocre list of games here. I already have most of the great games that I really want like The Witcher 3 from a previous sale.
I probably won't end up getting Dead Secret, Layers of Fear or Left Alone as I hear all of them have good premises but outstay their welcome or have shitty endings.
So I guess now the choice is either get a bunch of cheaper indie games or spend it all on a fairly recent triple A. The only two new triple A's that interest me are Fallout 4 and Dying Light. FO4 along with the season pass is expensive as hell and I don't know if I want to get it yet.
Oxenfree looks like the highest quality one in terms of narrative and story in the list, but I'm not sure if it's worth $10. Some anon said it's worth under $5.
