I mean, business-wise I can't really fault them for anything they're doing. It's all sound. It just annoys the fuck out of me that this is the path we've ended up with on the biggest streaming site, and the alternatives are unpopular dogshit.
I really wanted to try to get into streaming, and I've tried it a few times, but I play dumb shit, don't follow trends and I'm not a memespouting fuckwit or g4mergrrl, so I'll never actually get anywhere with it.

I only ever go to twitch for fightan, like CEO over the weekend. And when I do my initial reaction is to hide chat and set it to full screen (if on pc; dual monitors). If I want to see it on a bigger screen I open the twitch app on my phone and chrome cast it to my TV. Other than that I feel the same way.
