But it really amazes me how shittily they are handling one of their bigger releases yet. Fucking Bamco managed simultaneous release for Vesperia, and that was years ago. Sure, they got some help from Microsoft in localizing the game, but with how lacking PS4 is on niche game, Sony would be willing to do same with Persona 5.

One reason is that they don't want to work on text that's not necessarily finalized. Another could be to have a team of devs ready in case they need to make changes to graphics, etc.

Most localization teams have their own graphic people. As long as materials exist(why wouldn't they, this is a game they know is going to get a localization) they don't need help of original devs getting changes in.
The texts I can understand, but that's just something you have to coordinate. When the line has been voiced in JP, it should be safe to assume for it to be final.

When PS3 was announced I remember some IdeaFactory developer saying in interview how pleased they were with system because they wouldn't have to optimize the games anymore.
