MTG for poor people and little changes there and there. It's quite fun actually. It's broken and not broken at the same time.
The main format is cluster based so you can only use cards from that group, but the cluster itself has four juicy expansions that are well kept apart and the meta in said format kinda evolves with each expansion, right now we just had the final expansion of the current cluster.
There's also the less played but still popular format that includes the previous cluster into the game, this kinda makes broken combos, but there's intended synergy from the people behind the game.
Then there's the format that includes fucking everything and it's completely broken shit nobody plays just like in MTG.
I joined only a few months ago but the western fanbase at least here looks like it's growing.

It's not good. It's free, and unlike most magic clients it actually has a good UI, but it's not good. Most obnoxiously shitty things are that you're limited by a cards rarity when it comes to deckbuilding (You can only have 3 uncommons, 2 rares and 1 mythic rare instead of 4-ofing anything) and that it has this bug (I fucking hope it's a bug) where it'll just skip your second main phase entirely if you don't have a sorcery speed card to use which can fuck up all kinds of things you might wanna pull off.

people don't hate the eldrazi, people hated the return to zendikar take on eldrazi. The original eldrazi were popular, but they fucking butchered their execution on the return when they became boring vanilla creatures. Its exciting when theres 3 eldrazi and a handful of offshoots, its boring when theres 100 of them. Eldrazi are cool when its slowly hinted at and ramped up in the first two sets without telling us what they are, its stupid as fuck when BFZ retrod the exact same story as RotE without advancing the plot whatsoever, its just a remake of the same set, worse.
