>He doesn't own a tube TV
>even though they're free most of the time
>even with zero input lag & true black levels
>Still
WHY? What's your excuse?
>literally get cancer (but it's free!)
No thanks
I can feel my back, ass and/or neck hurting already
>>342911120
>>342911120
True black levels? My ass.
>>342911715
They lined the inside of tube TVs with lead to stop that from happening. Did you not know that? You cannot be that stupid right?
I wanna roll a cigarette and listen to some country with you OP.
I wish flatscreens had the non-existant input lag that CRT's had. However moving a CRT tv/monitor and storing it is an absolute bitch, they get dirty as fuck too. Also they probably exist but there cant be a large amount of HDMI compatible CRT TVs/Monitor.
>>342912118
I have A&W Cream soda too if you want some.
>>342911715
What doesn't fucking give you cancer now a days, being in sunlight gives you cancer, eating meat gives you cancer, you'll cancer eventually why avoid them all.
>>342911120
desu I prefer my 60inch 4k tv that still takes up less rooms in my crowded ass apartment.
>>342911120
looking at that picture is already making my ass and neck hurt
>480i
No thanks.
I do have a CRT TV but I don't have anything to connect it to. So it's just lays down in my room. Should I buy a PS2 or something like that?
>>342912206
Just eat Garlic all day & load up on antioxidants. Then you can take all the plane rides you want without getting radiation poisoning (plane rides are insanely radioactive)
>>342912139
Hell if they could make CRTs that were 75% lighter, I'd take it.
>>342912587
>Neo Geo ARCADE MACHINE cart hooked up to a tv without a neo geo
What Witchcraft am I witnessing?
>>342911120
Damn, that's one classy and manly setup.
I tip my glass of whiskey to you, my good sir.
>>342912843
It's not a "TV". It's one of those professional monitors.
>>342912953
Thanks, it was a lot of hard work hauling that thing down into the basement. That's not my picture you fucking moron

Dumb OP.
Who the fuck stores all their firewood inside the house? Some kind of insect fetishist?
>>342913104
>it's ron swanson time
YAAAAAAAAASSSS
>>342911120
enjoy your wolf spider infestation
>>342911120
Doesn't keeping all that firewood indoors bring in bugs?
Got this 27" for free at a pawnshop. Currently have a ps3 and ps2 hooked up to it and I'm about to get a VGA to S-video converter in the mail that will let me hookup my old XP to it just to be extra ridiculous playing emulators, watching shows/movies and browsing pornhub in 640x480.
The thing is even with PS3, most of the games are only actually running at around 540p naively and up scaling to 720 or 1080. So playing them on a CRT is fine, I actually prefer most PS3 games on a CRT with component cables for great contrast and colors.
>mfw still playing CoD on this TV and wrecking little kids that are probably playing on 50 inch TV's with motion interpolation on and 100+ms of input lag.
me and the boys all sit cross legged on the floor and the winner of 150cc rainbow road gets to sit in the chair that i bought at the hog calling competition
Quick, what new TV is best for reducing input lag? I remember hearing about a Sony TV doing that but I forgot which one.
>>342913553
I've had one of those. Ended up junking it because it wouldn't work with my lightgun games. I've been told it was because it was flat, not curved, so it fucks with the gun calibration or something. Heavy heavy heavy TV.
I miss my fat ass super huge CRT already. Shame it was on the way out.
>>342913708
the sony trinitron was the best crt ever made, good luck finding one though they were rare even when being produced.
>>342913365
Someone that doesn't want termites to fuck it
>>342913708
>NEW TV
Wouldn't know. I use my monitor to play games these days,
>>342913708
>buying TVs
Monitors or GTFO. TV a shit.
>>342913708
Go to RTINGS.com
Your best bet is a Vizio, they are way cheaper than other top brands, are reliable most of the time, and typically all have amazing contrast and very low input lag, pic related.
>>342913851
I really wish I had a Trinitron when it was in its prime. I'm just glad I found a Panasonic flatscreen CRT that seems to be still holding up really well.
>>342912527
>plane rides are insanely radioactive
Man up a bit
>>342913742
it's got nothing to do with the curve of the screen and all to do with input lag even on CRTs.
Newer CRTs can have some extra image processing that adds JUST enough lag to mess with light gun timing.
Do they make any computer monitors nowadays with component inputs?
>>342911120
Can I play Splatoon on it
>>342915454
All i can gather from this is that its impossible to survive eating 8 million bananas, even with immediate treatment
>>342911120
I haven't seen that picture in a long time.
>>342917858
Yes
