I don't even know what I'm looking at or what you're talking about.
HOW THE FUCK DO I GET STALKER TEETH
>>342907431
Pick up some of that debris you can turn into titanite(or whatever that common metal is)
Drop it near Stalkers
Wait until they pick it up and drop it alongside one of their teeth.
>>342907431
Give the stalkers metal and maybe a fish so it doesn't attack you
It'll thrash the metal around and it MAY drop a tooth
Anyone experiencing stuttering and spikes of memory usage? Also the water looks like shit and I can't see any difference between the graphics option.fuck

Huh I havn't run out of power and I even have a water filtration unit. I have a shit ton of solar panels though and one bio thingie.
>>342907253
i got a 5 year old laptop and it runs pretty good
>>342907431
Check in the caves or nooks around the kelp forest. For some reason stalker teeth drift into there.
On that topic, can you get teeth from stalkers in your aqurium?
Alright I don't fucking get it.
I scan a bridge, hull, or engine fragment and I get titanium. I am trying to unlock the cyclops. Is my shit fucked or do I have to find a unique portion of one of the three portions, if that makes sense.
Also here's my work in progress base.
>>342907664
No one?
Can you make a base spanning most of the map?
Do you bother with the escape pod once you get a base up and running?
>>342907171
Is this worth getting then?
Looks good and it's got a very nice discount but I'm really put off by the fact it's early access, same goes for Long Dark.

>Be me
>Base has 5 panels, two bio reactors, three thermal plants conducted over about miles.
>Running searchlights
>Running every new doodad in the game.
>Power outages all the time.
The part that really gets me is not having the ability to split output of thermal plants to power satilite bases.
>>342908642
>Base has 5 panels, two bio reactors, three thermal plants conducted over about miles.
If you're less than 100m deep you can just put down 50 solar panels and never have to worry about power
>>342907253
From my experience, it has a lot of skipping. It settles down, but lots of movement in or out of different 'zones' messes it up a bit.
It also feels slightly off to me. Like my character's movements (especially on land) seem at a lower framerate than they actually are.
If you can get over these problems, I'd recommend it. You gotta be into the whole crafting and exploration shit though.
just bought the game, what mode should I play?
>>342907664

I haven't but my rig is well over recommended. I do have draw distance problems with terrain popping.

Yeah, after playing for about 30 mins the frame rate just tanks and the audio gets super buggy for me.
>>342908642
I have a power tower. It's about 6 rooms stacked, each one with a bio-reactor filled with reginalds.
I never run out of power and it's been years.
>>342908720
Okay, I'll put some panels up on a tall reef and run a conductor.
I actually made the base going down a cliff.
>>342908149
cyclops hull, engine, and bridge blueprints are each their separate thing with 3 blueprint fragments each. You need all of them to make a cyclops. there's also a cyclops power efficiency mod in the aurora, get that.
>>342908937
Do different fish have different outputs? Because reactors seem to just eat through kelp.
>>342908535
just play for 2 hours and refund it if you don't like it
>>342909241
fish in general are far superior to plants, especially kelp
>>342909241
Kelp only gives like 5 power.
Regis give like 200 and you can shove 16(?) I think into 1 reactor, and reactors don't burn them until they need to.
Build some fish tanks and fill them with regis.
You'll never worry about food or power ever again.
>>342907253
I'm rocking 4~ year old equipment and it runs pretty good on minimum. I'm assuming full release will have actual graphics options and optimization.
What's the point of that customization if you're the only person to see it?
Is this multiplayer yet? Would it even be good as a multiplayer game?

>>342909717
It's not so bad when you find out you can eat fish raw.
Have they made fragments easier to find recently?
I tried playing a few months ago, and I stopped when I figured out that after 10 hours of playing, I was nowhere near getting anything bigger than a Seamoth.
I never found all the pieces for solar towers, either, so I was stuck farming kelp and deep sea fungus for power. It was a pain in the ass.

the hud thing is for your inventory, same slot as a thermometer or compass. upgrades are fairly self-explanatory, makes it scan faster/further. the hud upgrade will put a circle around whatever you told it to scan for, all quartz within several hundred meters for example.
>>342912040
Okay, nevermind I read up on them. Scanner rooms suck ass and are completely worthless unless you spam them across the map because the range is pathetic.

I remember there being a webm somewhere of a tiny sub in pitch blackness using sonar pings to look around, and through the pings you could see what looked like a giant crab using a large sub as a shell.
Is that this game?
>>342912884
No. That's Diluvion and it's not out as far as I known
>>342911426
It's closer than you think actually.
There's some obscure group of researchers working on production of deep-sea doming systems for actually settling the ocean floor in the event of the polar ice caps melting and massively reducing above-ground landmass.
It's... not been going great, but it's making progress.

There was an issue in the last stable build that completely muted all creature sounds if you built the scanner room. Don't build one unless they patched this, it really ruins the atmosphere and predators can sneak up on you
>>342910834A few players have found incomplete things around the map suggesting stuff like that. Dark mazes and labyrinths, tombs strange markingsa etc. The game is going to have some kind of story arc, and it should be good fun. Seriously it's too fucking bright. Like holy shit.
>>342913268
There are materials that can resist that kind of pressure, they are just incredibly difficult to produce and rare.
I mean we have subs that go down to the deepest points, so I don't see why not permanent structures eventually.
>>342913268
Honey
>>342913069
Sounds interesting.
We need to go deeper.I mean that literally. 3000m is still too shallow.
>>342913268
Patience, hope, and a sprinkling of glass subjected to repeated testing, retesting, and torture until it is dubbed "good enough" and then put into a test product to see how it handles and then hoping it doesn't explode half-way to the sea-floor.
A good method is to sample the sediments in deep environments and see how their molecular structures compare to similar above-ground materials.
>>342913374
>I mean we have subs that go down to the deepest points
hue no we don't, we send unmanned shit down there not subs
>>342913343
I've had some pretty vivid dreams, one recently where I drowned twice. As I sunk below the surface of the water, I didn't see anything. I felt water rushing around me as I sunk, the river floor disappeared when I touched it and then the pressure build around me as I gave up.
It happened twice.
>>342909186
How the fuck do you even enter the aurora?
I went through the front and it was just a bunch of invisible walls and miscellaneous debris where you never really could tell where you could and couldn't move to.
>>342913557
There's an opening on the exploded side above-water. Have fun.
>>342913557
There's a path along the beams on the frontside as well as a small hole on the west side that leads right to the reactor core
>>342913557
There's a ramp at the front that takes you up and around inside and there's a side entrance. Both only available after the Aurora has hit critical and ruptured.
>>342913052
Shit son, every hostile creature on the planet knows exactly where you are.

its unironically easier to build a habitat in space than it is under the sea.
funny enough living on Venus might be easier that living on Mars, since the gravity is similar to Earth and the atmosphere protects against radiation

Any fish does well, but Bunnyrays do better. Even the other large fish last longer still.
Hatch two similar eggs in an Aquarium and let them breed out.
>>342913912
Don't forget that Multiplayer generally requires a rewrite of the game from the ground up assuming they didn't originally plan for it. Networking is a fucking NIGHTMARE.
I considered a refund due to the performance issues but I hear that they are working on an update to fix it since they got rid of terraforming.
I'll hold onto it, i love how much it triggers my fear of deep sea.
>>342914141
Regis are more plentiful and easier to acquire than hunting for eggs, and really focusing on anything bigger isn't necessary since 16 Regis give 3520 power and you'll never-ever use that much energy unless you have 4 water-filter machines for every 1 bioreactor.

I personally think the secret lies in biology. Sperm whales have a fluid in them that doesn't change under pressure, and they're capable of diving deeper than any man made device. And there's plenty of living things down deep that survive perfectly well under pressure that destroys the greatest man made materials ever created.I'm saying we need to tame whales.
Also Marblemelons make food AND water trivial.

We've reached rock bottom though. The problem is actually staying down there, let alone building any living environments.
Those deep sea creatures usually don't try to fight back against the pressure, they're very jelly-like. But we can't do that to ourselves.

Next patch they're removing terraforming, so that the game will run incredibly smoothly. As it is, the game has to run individual checks on every piece of diggable sand. After that's removed, there's roughly 2k less objects that need to be loaded in in any given biome, up to 41k in the Dunes biome.
Then all they need to do is remove pop-in and add the ability to see out farther, and the game will run perfectly.

If you know where the marblemelons and shit spawn go grab it and haul the seeds back to your base, make sure to grab the pots as well
voila, never have to eat or drink anything again
Things I would change:
Reinforce the Nitrogen Cheat
Make food/water tougher to get your hands on
massively nerf the growtime of hangingfruit and melons/potatoes
More material areas, I can't count the number of fucking times I've had to endlessly search the ends of the planet for some silver
that's it really

I'm 25, and I moved out at 16. Junior year of highschool.
Then I worked at a grocery store from bagger to CSM and (with my then gf/now wife's help) put myself through college.
Now I just graduated, had to do my internship out of state so I quit my job, and I'm going to live with parents until I find a new one with my degree.

That's because they didn't run. If you buy the game right now, you get more than $20 dollar's worth.
And they are constantly updating and have actual dates. They are a sadly rare case of legitimate use of early access.

This game gives me such massive levels of anxiety. Fuck the ocean, but this game is super fun and I can't stop playing. Every time I'm swimming around int he seamoth and I see a big ravine or just a drop, I start sweating and get so fucking nervous. I don't think a game has ever done this to me. Along with the feeling of wonder when you find a new biome and just marvel at it. Game is awesome, can't wait till they implement everything.

Never played the game, but tell me what happened.
>>342921127
I prefer there to be some objective to work towards.
From what I've seen of the game, I'm 50/50. Looks a bit neat, but seems like it'll just end up amazingly shallow. And the creature design is a mixed bag between alien and weird and shit that looks like it was ripped out of a Unity asset pack that don't look like they belong at all.
>>342920776
Wait, you talking about Floater Island? What should I be looking for below it?
I bought this game yesterday, but haven't had a chance to play because I'm too busy posting on /v/, but is there any tangible reason to explore? Like do you find useful things in caves and trenches?

>>342921654
It could be going either way at this point, controlling a Sea Emperor could just be a neat gameplay mechanic or it could start some kind of ending. There's shit in the game about the ships being shot down by something on the planet, which sounds pretty final boss-y to me at least.

>>342923847
Probably first week of next month.
I think my game glitched up or something and stopped spawning hostiles.
Because I was able to build a welder and lead suit and then casually swim up to the spessship and fix the reactor and make a base next tot he trench behind the ship and I still haven't seen a single hostile creature
What do the floaters do?
>>342924085
Maybe you just got lucky.
I remember one time I hanged around the floating isle for a long ass time before someone told me there was supposed to be a reaper around there.
Do I still have a need for the radiation suit after patching the reactor inside the ship?
>get heated blade
>try to stab a stalker

>no creepvine anywhere

>>342924227
Yes, until the radiation's cleared

>oh hey this is a lot larger than I expected
>oh neato a ravine, too bad I haven't upgraded my seamoth depth yet
>GIANT FUCKING ELECTRIC THING STARTS SWIMMING TOWARDS ME
>nope right the fuck out of there
>go around this jutting out bit with nothing on it
I swear this game sometimes. Dunno why it didn't agro since I got a lot closer than this before I noticed. Didn't even make a sound the whole time. I think the scanner room breaks the game's audio. Also, vortex or gas torpedoes so storming the aurora and killing these shits if they get too close? First of course I need to find magnetite and from my understanding I can find that where they are. Will perimeter defense get it to fuck off?
>>342923760
I also was really scared of leaving the pod at night. I have an immense fear of the ocean and sea creatures, especially not being able to see the bottom of a body of water I am in. Its okay to go out at night, but I normally spend them watching the orbiting planet waiting for an eclipse.

>storming the Aurora
The only thing worth a fuck around Aurora is repairing the drive-core and getting the upgrade for the Cyclops. There is absolutely nothing worth salvaging that justifies staying in an area with sometimes 4+ Reaper Leviathans, so your sole purpose should be to get a seamoth with damage res and hull shock, speed the fuck into the small ravine on the side, swim straight up into the Aurora, repair the breaches, get the upgrade, get the fuck out. If you're there any longer than 20 minutes out of your entire game session, you're just asking to be murdered.

I exclusively build bases on the Aurora's southwest side, right by the rocks next to the thrusters. There is nothing greater to overcome fear than living in the worst possible location.

Good News;
There are only 3-4 major 'predators' you have to watch out for. In the starting areas, you're GENERALLY safe so long as you stay above 140m and away from kelp-forests. Most predators as well are happy to leave you alone unless you thrust your dick at them, and can be sidestrafed/knifed to death with relative ease.
Bad News; there are only 2 real 'weapons' in the game, one being your knife and the other a late-game unlock for your sub. You MAY find some blueprints to help you build some tools to stun or disable, but killing is generally out of the question. On top of that, most predators will kill you in 3-5 hits, and one is a straight up insta-kill if it catches you swimming around (its called a 'leviathan', you'll know it when you see it).
Max setting breaks the UI.

I hope they underwater brine lakes and rivers.
>>342933613
Oh yeah.
Can't wait for Reaper eggs.
How easy is it to deconstruct bases?
I'm very autistic when it comes to base placement, but it isn't so bad if I can pop up an ugly square or two temporarily and then wipe them off the map when I'm done with them.
Also is there anything to happen with the life support pod, or is it just eternally bobbing there as the backup home?
>>342934014
Easy, you do it the same way you construct them.
Don't even lose resources so you can easily place the object somewhere else if you wish.
AFAIK the pod is just bobbing there forever. It's just meant to be an initial home.
Which are the best seamoth upgrades
>>342934253
>>342934014
If you deconstruct a locker, everything in it is gone.
>>342933973
Looks like it from the concept art.
>>342934442
I love the whole spooky, ghostly graveyard feeling of it. Especially with the bioluminescent, gelatinous nature of the fauna down there.
>encounter the ghost leviathan
>yfw its agressive
>>342934613
>yfw it just causes halucinations
>>342934613
they pretty much are graveyards in real life. full of mummified crabs and sea life that accidentally wander in.
I like that floor walker suit
>>342934365
Sonar is worthless, defense is mandatory to get the cheeky aggressive fucks to go away, depth obviously, the armor, and then the last is whatever you want since I never found a use for em since sniping the leviathans is pointless since they patrol areas you only ever go to a couple times at most. Take the repulsion cannon and combine it with the seamoth defense to ensure safe looting. I usually bring 3 upgraded oxygen tanks, 4 batteries, 1 power cell, flippers with faster swim speed, rad suit, signal thing, compass, thermal blade, seaglide, welder, builder. Mind you I only bring the compass so when I'm going on resource runs I don't stray towards the aurora since that's a waste of energy because there's nothing worth looting.
>>342934835
It'sin the game now.
>>342932407
Do you want the fucking game or not cunt?
>tfw been playing this game for over two years now
>suddenly on steam sale it's started to pick up steam (hue)
>feels kinda like having to let your baby sister into your boys only club house
>all the threads about it are positive in nature and it's fun to see a lot of people enjoying it and making the game better
Feels bitter sweet man. Think I'ma restart my file
>>342935194
That's my steam id dude
>>342935348
I forget how I found out about Subnautica but I took to it really quickly.
>>342935382

How does this game run better for me on High settings than on Low settings? What black magic fuckery is this?
>no co-op
WHY
>>342934818
do not bully reefbacks
>>342935794
Reefback is confused.Reefback hurt itself in its confusion.
>>342907171
Everyone is posting their sick looking bases and here I am still scavenging for copper ore to make a glider. Feels bad man.
how many oxygen tanks do you carry? I've noticed at 160 seconds im slow enough for stalkers to never stop following me
>>342934969
>. Take the repulsion cannon and combine it with the seamoth defense to ensure safe looting
what
>>342936218
One high capacity one, combined with the seamoth there is very few worries for basic exploring.
Always pack more for cave shenanigans though
>>342936301
I'm sure he was saying "have the repulsion cannon in tandem with the seamoth defense grid in order to ensure your safety while looting"
>>342931785The what now?
>>342936347
Just made the repulsion cannon, it's pretty awesome, sent a stalker into the sky.
It can't kill anything but flora + tiny fish right?
>>342910310
Dude I think she want's the D.
>>342910310
Mygf_thinks the game is pretty cool too, she acted like she wouldn't be afraid playing it, but freaked the fuck out when a sand shark ambushed me from behind
Reminder that if you don't build your base at 300m+ depth you're a pussy and you should be eaten by a Reaper Leviathan.
>>342937707
>Deep base
how do you make your base like that? I don't want to lose mine.

>come back, open up game and save game is gone
What the fuck
>>342907171
so what do you even do in this game
i think i'm gonna stick with empyrion and 7 days to die unless u tell me 4 good reasons to play this instead
>>342937835
>how do you make your base like that? I don't want to lose mine.
I haven't lost mine yet and I got these electric eel motherfuckers around. All I had to do was basically:
>build cyclops
>put shitton of lockers in it
>stuff all the lockers with titanium and necessary building components
>go find nice spot 300m+ down and shit out your base in no time
>reinforce it if you think the hull won't sustain the damage
>put down a growing bed with lantern fruit and biology plant for infinite energy
>done
It's pretty easy to be honest, just took time to gather everything.Haven't seen the Reaper anywhere close to my base yet, hopefully he never will find it :S
>>342938145
Did you make that empyrion thread with no replies?
>>342938130
Are you sure you pressed the save button before exiting?
>>342937980
Great fucking movie.
>>342938205
I meant this tracker. Hoe did you get it? It shows you how far your base is anywhere you go right?
>>342938387
It's a beacon, you can simply craft it with your fabricator
>>342938210
nope
it got no replies though? weird since empyrion seems vastly better than most of the survival sandbox garbage (though that's not saying much). granted, i'm only 5-6 hours into the game so i don't know if it's really bad when it comes to real content or multiplayer
but more than that i wish 7 days to die got real mod/workshop support so that i could create a custom map for it that's basically a big underwater base
>>342938387
Ahh my bad.

Stalkers drop teeth upon biting metal. Make them bite scrap metal. You can also just bash into them with your seamoth and let them try to bite you. Nothing a welder won't fix.
>>342908505
Only as a forward base if I'm going around the Aurora or if I need to craft something and I just happen to be closer to that than my base.
>streaming game on steam streaming thing

why is this game so scary
>>342909717
Since this game updates fairly often and I keep needing to do new games, I just go for this option all the time so I don't need to bother with farming as much shit.
>>342911426
But... why would you even want to?
>>342915587
Guys, what should he be scared of?
>>342938959

>>342939545
he doesn't know....
This game is so spooky I can barely play it. One time I didn't make it back to the escape pod before nightfall and I instinctively pressed alt-f4.
how do you get into the aurora? from the front or back?
>>342939806

night diving is comfy imo
how do i get drinks
i keep dying of dehydration
i need some bleach or whatever, but i'm in a crashed escape pod in the middle of the fucking ocean, what do they expect from me?
>>342940138
airsacks, pink fish
>Game switches to spooky music if you go down deep enough.
>>342939847
Also is there anything I should be looking for?
I just bought this game. Is there really anything to do in terms of creation?
I tried making a underwater fortress and it feels there's very little options to make in terms of customizing your underwater palace.
I've been playing on creative mode
>>342918338
Diver's reel is your friend. It sounds INCREDIBLY useless, but it has infinite length and it's the perfect thing for cave exploring.
r8 my seamoth
>>342940138
Catch an Airsack and turn it into 20 water.
Or grab some Salt and knife a large coral tube. Make bleach with these and then 40 Water with the bleach.
Or you can eat food that gives some hydration.
Or you can get some fruits that give some hunger and thirst.
Or you make a water filtration after finding the fragments.
>>342940138
Pick up salt (looks like a bunch of small rocks) and cut the big coral, then use those to make bleach, then process it into water.
>>342940165
oh, just eat them or do i gotta put them in the fabricator?
>>342940198
It really isn't a creative mode game. It's mostly about the environment and the atmosphere.
>>342940294
So what's the point of the game?
>>342939979
Game needs to be more realistic with night time being pitch black.
>>342940241
>>342940264
weird, i was getting salt and coral with the knife but i didnt see any recipes for it
i only played for a bit, i'll look a bit more carefully at things. i did get to build a craft so thats cool. i was too scared to lose it so i just saved and quit for now.
>>342940362
It's a survival horror game.
>>342940380
it is once you're in a cave or below 200m
>>342940398
Oh, guess I'll refund it then, nothing about the description or tags suggested that
Good idea, bad execution
>>342940468

Seamoth Solar charger is literally unlimited energy. Dont even need to make power cells for it anymore
>>342915950
Just make it a rare/season event.
>>342940523
Nothing about this says horror to me. I expected minecraft underwater, aparrently I'm not really getting that. Glad I'm under 2 hours
You run out of water way too fucking quickly it's so annoying
>>342940468
>>342940592
is this an epic new meme?
>>342940362
>>342940468
It's an all alone and isolated survival game with the little creative side of it functioning as the endgame. Horror is there if you find the setting particularly spooky.
It is an early access title, there isn't too much between start and end game and not much to the latter. So those playing it now it's mostly for appreciating exploration and the atmosphere.
>>342940523
Granted, terraform is part of the description although they've been planning to remove it for a long time.
>>342940592
It's horror if you are afraid of the ocean, sea, water, blackness, or large creatures.
If you're not it's just a survival game.
>>342940634
It's easy to satisfy thirst though. But yeah it annoyed me until I figured it out.
GUYS HOW THE FUCK DO I GET SALT
>>342940657
What is there to really find in terms of exploration?
>>342940634
Yeah I just went back into normal mode. Getting food and water is just a tedious chore you have to constantly worry about and it doesn't add anything to the game.
>>342925637
I hope materials respawn eventually. I remember I used to constantly run out of quartz and I could never get enough. This was back when quartz was used for both rubber and glass though, so it's not much of an issue now.
>>342940230
better pic
>>342940741
Look harder.
It's white and small rocky crystal clusters in all biomes.
>>342940743
your own death
>>342940592
Try exploring anywhere beyond 100m depth. This game is horrifying.
>>342940743
It's the journey, not the destination. You want some crafting material so you go and get it. You pass through nice looking and varied environments, finding hidden caves that lead very deep and shit.
>>342940820
>>342940809
I don't find the ocean or deep sea remotely scary
>>342940820
>>342940859
it can be pretty spoopy
>>342940859
Then enjoy the sights and sounds.
And craft some shit along the way.
Okay, So I've got the radiation suit and a knife and plenty of oxygen tanks. I made a expedition to the Aurora but I couldn't find anything and barely made it back with enough water. Should I be looking for something? What's the next step?
Buying this since it's on sale
mistake Y/N?
>>342940948
Go to the front of the ship, find the ramp leading up and follow. Explore inside, you'll find things to pick up/activate. and bring a welder to fix the damaged reactor.
>>342941062
You tell us.
>>342941087
>and bring a welder to fix the damaged reactor.
What does this do?
>>342940859
thats pretty fucked up man
>>342941062
i just pirated it and it's pretty cool, and the dev roadmap seems legit. i dont like early access or survival sandbox games but im certainly tempted to buy it when i get payed for the updates and such.
>>342941062
Depends on how much money you have, and exactly what you're looking for.
>>342941140
Stops radiation leak. Progresses "story" so far.
>>342941187
I have too much and I'm looking for anything to spend my free time on
>>342941259
Unless you have no interest in survival and exploration and maybe horror if this shit spooks you and some base building then yeah, you'll get a reasonable amount of time out of it for its asking price.
>>342941140
Removes the radiation in the area, which is pretty useless since you will already have to craft the radiation suit to do it anyway.
>>342941205
>>342941352
Okay so that's pretty much useless. What's the fastest route to getting a craft/building a base though?
>>342941352
I just crafted the radiation suit and I'm still quite early in the game, haven't made a habitat yet. But looking at the crafting options it seems like it's somewhat of a positive given that you can replace the radiation suit with the stilsuit, right?
>>342941401
Get the materials for the Habitat Builder.
>>342941401
Swim around and scan the research boxes. The white rectangular things.
Also keep and eye out for ship parts/hulls/hatches sticking out of the ground. Scan those.
>>342941449
Yes the stilsuit is sort of useful. The water it gives you lowers your hunger by a bit while increasing health, so you need to eat if you wanna spam reclaimed water and not farm bleach or airsacks.
on what planet does the game take place?
>>342941570
Aurora, in the "not real" system.
>>342941570You're mom.
Fun game but holy fuck moving on land is fucking atrocious
>>342941650
The Aurora is the giant ship that you abandoned in a drop pod. It's that giant ship that you see when you first start the game.
>>342941726
Shit you're right.
Uh..
Fuck
>>342941570
>>342941650
>>342941726

>tfw last time i went camping with the family we were on my brother's boat at night and i kept turning on the flashlight into the water saying stuff like "something moved" "what is that?" "is that a face" until my mother started crying
good times
>>342939847
The front will blast open when the ship explodes.
>>342940176
The only things worth noting about the Aurora are the lootable chests, the holes you can weld shut and a Cyclops upgrade.
Just be careful about the crabs and other monsters.
>>342941140
Stops radiation. It's useful, since it means you can wear other suits without have to worry about radiation poisoning.
>>342941929
>The front will blast open when the ship explodes.
There is also a small opening underwater on one of its sides. You have to leave your seamoth to fit through the holes. Inside there is a room with Bleeders in it and the radiation leak you can fix.
>>342942119
I think the bleeders might of been removed? I mean, there were definitely there a while ago but after doing 3 or 4 new games I haven't encountered a single one.
Plus it's hard finding the hole if you don't know where it is and fuck looking for it when a Reaper can grab you.
I'm having a hard time collecting stalker teeth. I've tried feeding them fish and metal but it doesn't seem to be working.
Also I'm pretty hype that the game is now so populair and selling well on steam. This should speed up the developing process or at least motivate them right.
>tfw suddenly /v/ went completely gay for Subnautica after months of ignoring it
What happened?
>>342942348
>gay for Subnautica
does subnautica have a cock?
>>342942348
Steam Sales.
>>342942263
Try having a bunch of metal lying around when you feed it fish.
It will start collecting the metal parts and gather them to you, increasing the chances of a tooth drop.
>>342942263
You can provoke stalkers to try and bite the seamoth too.
Feeding them fish doesn't do anything, it's gotta be something metal. Teeth are hard to see though, it's entirely possible you're just not seeing them. Try luring them to a clear area and doing it in the day time.
>>342942263
In the right side of the Aurora (which you pretty much never have to go to), at the outer limit of the map, there's a spot where there's a lot of Stalkers and a lot of debris. I go and hang out there whenever I need teeth.
>>342908856
Uninstall your Realtek driver, then restart windows.
It will automatically reinstall the driver and the issue in the game will be gone.
That's how I fixed it.
What's the biome called with all the sand and quartz?
>>342914428

>>342943213
Yeah and that doesn't mean it's a shill. People like to talk about video games they like usually, weird right? That you don't have to start hating every game after a certain point in its lifetime?
Is it pointless to equip the radiation suit if I'm wearing the rebreather? (I've fixed the aurora)
>>342943131
I wouldn't go that far but there's at least ones of us
>>342943393
Yes get the stilsuit
Is there absolutely nothing outside the "playable area"? have been going out north for around 10km and found nothing.

Do I gotta do/worry about anything here? For exmaple do the potatoes spoil if I dont harvest them?
>>342943427
There have been Subnautica threads for months.
The power nap update released not too long ago which inspired some discussion on /v/, and then it got on the sale, which prompted more popularity, and now I'm glad to say we have a daily thread it seems.
