I was running an Arcane build, with Ludwigs sword and rifle, the flame sprayer and the auger of ebrietus as my main go to weapons.
Then I got to this boss, and he's using the same weapons as me. Thought it might have been some cool mechanic where you fight a corrupted version of yourself. but it wasn't
