The hubs are kinda like the Citadel in Mass Effect except less linear and areas are way more varied. There are a few of bigger hubs and a couple of small ones.

Combat is surprisingly in depth. No tap Y to counter and win. It's kinda like the combat in the original Assassin's Creed. You can counter attacks but you have to time it just right. There are 3 styles of combat too: Warrior, Rogue, and Guardian. Warrior has a staff and is slow, but does more damage. Rogue has a dagger and a gun and is fast, but does little damage. Guardian has a club and shield. It's somewhat in the middle.

I'm on my second playthrough. It took a good 12 hours to finish the main story without doing any side missions. Side quests are usually better than the main missions and have go to be another 6 - 8 hours alone.
One a side note, whoever voices Zachariah needs to stop voice acting. He's trying too hard to sound like Chris Pine and has no emotion.
