I play on PS4 and the enemy teams vote for each other regularly. If someone on the opposite team kicked particular ass, I'll vote for them. If play of the game was an allied Torbjorn, I'm not voting for his ass.

I think Play of the Game caters too much to damage dealers. How many times has a Reaper got it for simply either doing the Pyro W+M1 tactic or simply pressing Q?

I -never- see votes as a healer. I guess I'm at that MMR where everyone's just "HURR LOOK DAMAGE IM SO GUD" and everyone votes for that fag instead, or if it was a steamroll and the opposing team has one card then everyone on that team just votes for that guy.

Honestly I see the commends spread out pretty randomly - I don't see people just showering the healer in them.
POTG usually affects it the most as far as I can see, I'm tank or support 90% of the time and very rarely get more than 1 commend (though, I do usually get that one)
I'm pretty sure its usually the guy we helped eachother the most and I probably commended him too.
In any case my matches are dogshit and the Leaver penalty has been an almost constant part of my OW soloqueue experience for the last two weeks, probably lost like 30 levels on it.
I only self vote if I did an outstanding job that I'm proud of and the other cards are lackluster.

If I get 0 votes and someone else has 0 votes I vote for them just before it's over so it looks like they voted for themselves.
I don't vote to get someone up to 5 or 10 if I think a group stacked the vote
If it's attack/defend and it's a team switch I vote for the healer on my team in the hope he stays.

When I play solo, sometimes. Not usually when I'm waiting people unless I'm already at 4 or it's a salt vote that goes to 6 instantly. Otherwise I vote for who I feel was overall the best player and not just Mercy/Lucio because they're Mercy/Lucio and should be voted for by default.
