if Sony didn't give Nintendo a cost over 80% control on their IPs and company, then they would never call off the deal and run to Philips for help on their console and the N64.
Sony APOLOGIZED right before that, removed the "IPs takeover" catch from the contract and both Nintendo, Sony, and Philips continued working on the SNES CD, the relationship and trust was still getting extremely weak.
also a reminder that after the SNES CD debacle, Sony and Sega tried to team up on doing the Playstation. SEGA CEO backed out since they didn't want to fall for Sony's jew schemes again. (irony SErvice GAmes is run by jewish people)
