The retarded checkpoint placement in the first Oddword made having fun with it literally impossible, especially when the game didn't even save a checkpoint after you finished one of the secret rooms which were ridiculously hard and borderline broken.
One of the greatest games of all time right here, everything about it is perfect.

Exoddus improved on a lot of things like the checkpoints and being able to talk to more than one person, but I really enjoy the Elum sections of Oddysee so it just edges it out for me. I need to replay them both though.

Etrian Odyssey, Stella Glow and Bravely Default are probably the best 3DS games that come to mind, but I wouldn't say any are 10/10.

I have pretty much every worthwhile game I can find. I just finished up the Taiko V Version plat (highly recommend importing since you don't need to understand moonrunes for rhythm games). Last localised game I finished was EDF, and before that Trails of Cold Steel.
