The point of this was IMO to tell a bit about orcs to players who skipped Wc1 & Wc2, namely how orcs got corrupted, etc.

Because we're in the internet age. Something MMO games tend to rely upon. If everyone's rambling on spoiling shit it's hard to keep things shrouded in mystery and maintaining a sense of wonder for the player.
It's effectively the same sort of shit Ocarina of Time helped plague games with.
Now if the world were heavily influenced by the player, like Trove to a small extent, but more 'permanent'. Such as players building islands and domains, and allowing everyone a chance to explore said worlds, I think that would allow them to create adventures and you'll never know for certain what you might see next.

Here is the thing, Jaina/Thrall/Tyrande were on good terms with stopping the whole Archimonde situation.
Throwing her dice with the Alliance had made her have to cast orcs as the enemy as some of the generals got a bit zealous in the battlegrounds between the two.
She leads good terms with the Earthen ring and Cenarion Circle which Shared no sides, Her husband being on one and Thrall leading the other. Thrall isn't really an orc, He was raised a human gladiator that make him more diplomatic then others his age.
