Back when I played Runescape I always appreciated the Fremennik blade's simple design.
But it is fucking shit, because it has the offensive stats of an adamant scimitar (making it shit at stabs, which doesn't make sense for such a design) and the speed of a longsword type weapon. The worst of both worlds between a scimitar and a longsword, in one terribly shit weapon.

Love the Bastard Sword in Dragon's Dogma. It's pretty much the only sword, besides the basic iron sword your character tries to fight the dragon with, that has a nice blade shape, while also being fairly grounded in its design. Compared to the other weapons you see in the game, at least.

That's Ostrava. The gold Runic gear he uses deals very little physical damage and has very low durability for the benefit of providing extra defense against magic and dealing magic damage. The armor looks great, yeah, it's the best set in any Souls game to date. The regular Knight set starts off with that armor and a regular metal sword and shield.

The aztecs drove the spainish out of their captial easily, they only got fucked cause the spainish then retreated to a nation the aztecs were hated by, rested their for a few months while the aztecs were then dying of smallpox and famine, and stormed the captial again 9 months later with a massive army of 200,000 natives from that nation, at which point the aztecs were basically already defeated due to all that diseases and famine I mentioned.
There's no questioning the spainish had a large advantage in terms of their armor and weapons but they didn't have the numbers or supplies to win on their own when the aztecs had a large organized army and cities larger then what Europe had.
Also, obsidian is actually sharper then steel is by many times over. to the point where it can actually cut between tissue cells, it's just nowhere near as durable and will shatter after a few uses since it's essentially glass, pic related

Gonna need a source of this. I wouldn't see why the aztecs would be any inferior in terms of tactics or swordsmanship when they were an empire with a history of conflict in the region with a highly structured active military.
Obviously they wouldn't be equipped to handle Calvary or firearms since they didn't exist on their continent (though IIRC sources say they adapted pretty quickly) , but they were used to dealing with swords, clubs, polearms, axes, and maces.
And i straight up haven't heard that the initial pushback that resulted in cortes and his men having to retreat from tenochtitlan was only done "barely", AFAIK it was pretty decisive.

I remember there was a way to have just your magic hand out. I think it involved sheathing your weapons, then tapping the "use magic button" while Corvo is folding the sword. Because the animation for putting the sword away is longer, the magic hand be put down then brought back up while the sword is still folding. You'll run faster with your one hand.
