Flying in jets in BF is so ridiculously easy with a keyboard and mouse I thought it was a joke to say it's hard. Just bind space bar, or some other easy to hit button to Up. Everything else just requires some decent aim, timing, and situational awareness.

You spend hours and hours practicing.
Go into the test range or an empty server and practice.
One of the most important things to do is bind pitch up and pitch down to keys on the keyboard, this makes turning much easier. I use E to pithch up and Spacebar to pirch down.
Also don't be a scrub that inly uses lockon missiles, learn to kill people with your main gub. Lockons are for scubs, no skill at all.

I use them to get rid of vehicles, usually with a BRRRRT and J-DAM combo, if there's no attack jet I just harass armour with laser guided bombs in the stealth jets and get sneaky quad kills with it.

he actually hit the pilot. The way tank damage works is the jet got hit by the splash damage, the pilot by the impulse damage. Not enough to destroy jet, but more than enough to kill pilot.
For flying jets, bind pull up to space bar, everything else you can leave or tune to your liking. Optimum turning speed is 310 knots so keep that in mind.

This is my biggest gripe with the BF games, if you get stuck with a total shit team it is no fun at all. Had it recently everyone else in my squad was a sniper on a game of rush, everyone just sat at the back of the map sniping, no-one but me trying to actually destroy the objective. Can't fucking stand that shit.
