Being told to go from point A to B in an adventure game is a shitty formula. Like everything you do is story driven and not players choice. You don't go "oh I want to save the bird people because I get a cool weapon or I care about them" it's always "The game told me to do it and I want to progress the game and get to the dungeon and fight the boss with the weapon I got from the dungeon."

I like Oblivion a lot for this reason. I enjoyed not being the heir, or some chosen one bullshit. I liked being the Champ of Cyrodiil. I didn't want to hurt GL at all, I just didn't even think of it when I quit in my analpain (a new member pissed me the fuck off and an officer took his side to the point of demoting me)
Even though poor guy was working hard on getting some actually skilled people in as the core group with skills (so like me and 6-7 other guys including him) was dwindling fast and we only got shit replacements.
Not sure what advice can be given, don't take it all too seriously.

Whenever we played we play together for 2-3 hours and when the next time we pick up someone has already put in another 20 hours alone and then we just fizzle out in what to do.

Well that is the magic of it, if you have people who go off and do shit for 20 hours alone, they accomplish something that can benefit everyone if they built it right or they gathered a shitload of resources, I played tekkit years ago and it was great, so unless things got shittier somehow I highly recommend getting a modpack server going

I thought I fucked up somewhere. It's past midnight so I might say some dumb shit.
Basically, I've been with this group of 3 people for 6 years. One is a chill person.
One is a stubborn dude with some anger issues (he'd get pissy at losing in fighting games, he'd blame the mechanics and not himself, nigga even threw a game disc towards the wall in anger and would shout "stop spamming combos!!") The last person is alright and I don't have much issues with him, but he more than usually agrees with the dude who can't contain his rage. The two of them spout memes from 2006 and do other cringy stuff which I'd rather not go into detail with.
As I said before, I've been in other groups who don't care if I don't speak a lot, but when I don't speak in this group of 3 people, they kept bitching on Skype asking where I am. Their PCs aren't good enough to run other games so we're constantly playing shit like Gmod (sandbox mode 90% of the time) and Castle Crashers. It wasn't fun for me. I hope I provided some insight with a quick rundown.
