what the fuck was up with this grass behind protected by a hammer stump?
It's got a camera installed on it to show Mother Brain when Samus is going by there.
They could have just put a camera on the ceiling or something but it's already known the space pirates are dumb as fuck.

Yeah it followed you. After a quick google, it's called a Zoomer/Geemer and the color pattern matches the Varia Suit. General consensus says it's a leftover mob recolor/easter egg, no remotely official lore or comment by the devs anytime or anywhere on it. Since it isn't present if you go to the top half legitimately, it's most likely just an easter egg/random thing, which was pretty common back in the SNES days and sadly missing these days.

Some random Jade Cocoon stuff.
There are two Merging tablets that have vague hints about the two secret Minions that are obtainable through merging of four different Minions of certain families. There exists a third Merging tablet that can only be obtained via cheat device but it's blank when you try to read it.
Towards the end of the instruction manual it tells you to "Seek the secret Minion." This secret Minion was so strong the forest god Elrihm felt threatened by it and separated it into light and darkness, and if the two reunite the Minion will be resurrected. The manual ends with "it's up to you to find out what will happen when the two powers are once again united." Many fans believe it to be two secret Minions only obtainable at the end of the Eternal Corridor. This isn't true however as the Eternal Corridor has no end. It is a reference to the Twin Dragons of Kemuel and the ending of the game.
I know it is unintentional, but glitching into the DLC areas in Destiny was super fucking eerie.
