I love flying games, I usually play DCS to get my fix. How in depth is air support? Can I fly sufficiently with the base game or will I need extra shit to buy? Do sim groups typically have air on-demand or just do ground ops? Are enough people JTAC-capable?
I'm really on the fence about it. If I can jump in and be dropping GBUs on towelheads for bros without much fuss, I'm down in a heartbeat.

Helicopter Model is fucking great if you active the advance model in the game settings. Jets are a little bit like flying in jelly and have a terrible flight model - still better than other games.
Most realsim servers and groups require the pilot to be in Teamspeak. Milsim usually will go with a radio mod TFAR/ACRE. 9 Liners are pretty rare if you aren't in a unit or play public.

All of that's pretty doable. I was watchingdevildoggameryesterday when I saw it was on sale and got interested. If I can join a group where I can be utilized in the air near-regularly, I think it'd all be worth it for me. DCS is disappointing in that you can't really do proper CA ops, and I'm actually looking forward to finding something that lets me.
If I can do shit like this at least weekly, I think it's a guaranteed eventual buy. I guess it depends entirely on who I join though.

The feature does work accordingly, most objects even if you do vault aren't able to be clipped through with exceptions. You haven't really denied what I've said which another poster in this thread has agreed with that most games have clipping issues, but as the models have no collision it is not a issue. In ArmA 3's it is different because both the model and the objects are able to collide.

Plus, none of the advantages of a physical collision is beneficial in arma, your visual model still clips into things and hell even your fucking camera can just look through walls which is something that can happen consistently when vaulting at an object.
It's clunky because of poor design decisions which are also implemented terribly.
And even another thing, battlefield have your gun lower when you're too close to a wall, vanilla arma can't even pull that off with it's "phyiscal" model.

I think MCC adds a zeus interface, coupled with ARES expanded zeus tools you could make some simple engagements with relative ease and jump into them instantly on any map you have. Ares also enables you to add virtual ammo boxes to any crate, so you can use whatever you want too.
Alternatively you could use other mission setup plugins but I have no idea how they work since I've never used them.
